with the most improved player award for the Novice Hockey
team at the Gala night held at the Zurich Arena.
ATOM TROPHY - The player winning the trophy for the
Atom hockey team, was David Smith, shown here receiving his
award from Ray McKinnon.
PEE WEE TROPHY - The recipient for the most improved
player for the year 19'73-74 on the Peewee hockey team, was
Mark kegler. Don Oke presented him with his award.

Mrs. Elva Metcalf has return-
ed to her home in the Village
after an enjoyable three week
vacation visiting friends in
Vancouver and White Rock.

of Strathroy visited with Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Sturgeon one day
last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Craig
spent last weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Butler of Mitch-
ell, at Turbull's Grove near
Grand Bend.
Gilbert Latimer, Toronto,
was a Sunday guest with his
grandmother, Mrs. G.L. Knight
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard F.
Sturgeon, Jeff and Rollie,
Orangeville, visited with his
parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack B.
Sturgeon during the weekend.
Dr. and Mrs. William Till-
man and family, London; Mr.
Norman Brown and family
London; Mr. W. Dunn, Alyce
and Cathy, London, were at
their respective cottages for the
weekend.

(Grace) Middleton, of Middle-
ton who is a patient in Victoria
Hospital, London.
Shawn Carrick, Fingal, came
on Sunday to make his home
with his grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. E.W. Erickson, Uncle
Andrew and Aunts, Luanne and
Lydia.
Mr. Gordon Merrill, Van-
couver, visited a few days at
the home of his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Ross Merrill and ret-
urned by plane to Vancouver
last Wednesday evening.

Diehl and to Mrs. Cliff Utter
who are presently confined in
Clinton Public Hospital.
Mr. Bud Sturgeon and Miss
Barbara Davidson visited for
the weekend with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Davidson in Win-
dsor.
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Graham
returned to their home and bus-
iness after spending a much
earned holiday in Freeport,
Bahamas.
Mrs. Gerald Pence, Rochest-
er, Michigan and Mrs. Marilyn
McFadden, Toronto were last
week guests of the former's
mother, Mrs. J.M. Atkinson.
Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Parker,
Charlie, Kiln and Jennifer and
Jacci Borden, London visited
Sunday with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Bill Parker.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lynn,
Etobicoke spent Saturday at
their Village home.
Mr. Renouf Johns, Mount
Clemens, Michigan, was at
his residence on Delevan St.
for a few days last week.

SILAGE GASES
While not common in Ont-
ario, silage gases have given
some problems requiring hosp-
italization. These gases are
nitrous oxide and nitric oxide
gases which are odourless and
colourless. After these gases
mix with the air they take on
a yellowish brown colour and
become nitrogen dioxide. Carb-
on monoxide gas is also often
present in silos.
These various gases begin
forming within a few hours •
after silage is placed in the
silo. If the silage is not cover-
ed, these gases will usually
escape.
Charlie, London, spent the
weekend at their cottage, visit-
ing Sunday with the Pruss fam-
ily were their son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Larry
Krupa, of London.
Mr. Norman F. Cooper,
Mount Clemens, Michigan, was
at his residence on Clan Gregor
Square for most of the week.
Mr, and Mrs. Fred Hulls
attended the 50th wedding ann-
iversary celebrations for his
sister and brother-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Smith, in
Georgetown on Saturday even -

Dr. and Mrs. Alon Reddoch,
of Whitehorse, Yukon, are
presently visiting his parents,
Rev. and Mrs. James Reddoch
and on Saturday they plan to
attend the wedding of his young•
er brother, in Toronto.
