Mr. William Decker is laid
up with blood poisoning on his
hand.
The local post office was
removed to its new home in
the Deitz block and is a very
fine creditable place for same
as the interior part is well
lighted and roomy and at a
fine location. What the village
fathers should do now is to
build a street sidewalk crossing
from the corner of the Deitz
block over towards L. Prang's
garage, for the convenience
of the public on the east side
of the street.
To clean blackened and
smoke walls, make a thin cook-
ed starch and put a thin coat
all over the walls and ceiling.
In 20 to 30 minutes wash it
off. It really takes the grease
off and is not so cruel to hands
as the usual method of strong
suds.

Mr. Allan Armstrong has
purchased the 100 -acre farm
Lot 9, concession 11, Stanley,
from Mr. Thomas Robinson,
the purchase price being $4, 900
An auto accident occurred
near the 14th concession on
the Zurich road when. Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Brown were on their
way to Zurich, they met a one -
eyed car supposed to be from
Grand Bend and the two cars
tangled and got considerably
smashed up.
There seems to be plenty
of apples again this fall and
good choice fruit is being
delivered around town from 75¢
to 900 a bushel.

Opening of the new head-

Mrs. Jack Sinclair, Mrs.
Vern Alderdice, Mrs. Robert
Kinsman, and Mrs. Grace
Drummond attended the Huron
County Women's Institute Rally
in Brussels on October 7.
Mr. Kenneth Jones, of Kemp
ville spent Thanskgiving with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Jones.
Recent visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Jones were Mr.
and Mrs. Art Ashworth, Ilder-
ton and Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred
Huxtable, of Centralia.
Mr. and Mrs. E. McBride
spent Thanksgiving with their
son-in-law and daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Steve Pine, Sault
Ste. Marie.
KIPPEN TEA TIPPERS
The second meeting of the
Kippen Tea Tippers was held
on Monday, October 7 at Mrs.
Parson's home. The meeting
opened with the 4-H Pledge,
Sharon Finlayson read the min-
utes and Vicki Bell was elect-
ed the next secretary. All
members answered the roll
call, "Why I like to entertain. "
The next meeting will be held
at Hoggarth's on October 21
at '7 p.m. The girls received
their orange book covers and
decided on their design. The
subject matter for meeting two
was discussed. The meeting
closed with a delicious lunch.

Health Unit in Clinton marks
the beginning of full-time
public services for every citiz-
en of Huron County. Miss Edna
L. Morre is director and Miss
M. Rutherford, regional super-
visor of public health nursing.
Ontario Hydro Commission,
Toronto, has published its
schedule for changing the prov-
ince from 25 cycle to 60 cycle.
Miss Marjory Klopp has ret-
urned to her studies at the Univ-
ersity of Western Ontario,
London, after spending several
days with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Bert Klopp.

Elmer Bell, solicitor for
Zurich council, has been
instructed by council to draw
up the deed which will transfer
Edward Street, between John
and Frederick, to the Hay
Township School Board.
Thanksgiving Day was the
chosen day by Peter Eisenbach,
of Grand Bend, to officially
open the newest addition to
his museum there. The Mary -
Ellen Chapel, named in honor
of Mr. Eisenbach's mother, Mrs
Ellen Eisenbach, and Mr.
Eisenbach's late wife's mother,
Mary Tetreau, seated about
150 interested guests within her
antique portals.
Donna Marie Ducharme,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Ducharme, R.R.1, Dashwood,
and George Watson, son of Mr.
and Mrs. William Watson,
R.R.3. Zurich were united in
marriage on Saturday, Octob-
er 3,
