BLUE WATER REST HOME
Why is it that somany of us
persist in thinking that autumn
is a sad season? Nature has
merely fallen asleep, and her
dreams must be beautiful if we
are to judge by her counten-
ance. I overhear some of our
residents remarking on the
beautiful sunsets that they have
been enjoying during the even-
ing hours as they sit and watch
the sun across the lake disap-
pearing into the horizon.
On Monday afternoon some
of our residents enjoyed a bus
ride to Goderich. Many of
them enjoy the trip along the
harbour as they are fascinated
by all the boats.
Residents who have been
enjoying visits here and there
during the week were Mrs.
Alma Southcott, Mrs. Mary
Sturley, Mrs. Edna McFarlane,

Mrs. Jessie Pfaff and Mrs.

time to pick and deliver them
to the home. Also Mrs. Marg-

and Mrs. Gladys Gingerich

On Wednesday afternoon the
bus took a number of residents
and toured the Grand Bend
and Crediton areas. They enjoy
the scenery this time of the
year and like to keep tab on
the progress of the harvesting
operations.
We now have a quilt up in
the craft room, and although
the residents have been working
on it, I ain sure they would
appreciate having any visitors
who would care to add a few
stitches to help along the proj-
ect.
On Friday evening bingo was
enjoyed, followed by refresh-
ments.
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Rev.
George Anderson of Trivitt

Anderson favoured with a read-
ing, "The Touch of the Master?

service.

Let us forget the things that
vexed and tried us,
The worrying things that
caused our souls to fret,
The hopes that cherished long
were still denied us,
Let us forget.
Whatever things were good
and true and gracious,
Whate'er of right has triumph,
ed over wrong,
What love of God or man has
rendered precious.
Let us remember long.
