8) In Residential Zones an accessory sign
may be erected in accordance with the
following regulations;
a) One (1) non -illuminated sign. not
greater than six (6) square feet in
area, directing attention to the sale
or rental of the property upon which
the sign is located;
b) One (1) "No trespassing" or identif-
ication sign, not greater than three
(3) square feet in area.
c) A doctor may erect one (1) identific-
ation sign not greater than three (3)
square feet in area. If illuminated,
the source of illumination shall be
concealed within the sign.
d) One (1) sign, not greater than three
(3) square feet in area, directing
attention to lodging or accommod-
ation provided within the premises
upon which the sign is located.
e) One (1) sign, not greater than
twenty(20) square feet in area, for
a permitted building within the
Zone, which is not a residence.
9) In Residential Zones outdoor house
lawn light may act in place of street
lights. Where required by the Corporat-
ion to do so they will be erected in ac-
cordance with the following regulations:
a) one light per lot
b) located on the lot line
c) be six (6) feet in height
d) have a bulb of 150 watts in working
order at all times
e) be controlled solely by a photo-
electric cell.
LOADING SPACES
3.10 No person shall, in any Zone, erect or
use any building or structure for manuf-
acturing, storage, warehouse, department
store, retail store, wholesale store,
market, freight or passenger terminal,
hotel, hospital, mortuary, or other uses
similarly involving the frequent shipping,
loading, or unloading or persons, animals
or goods, unless there is maintained with-
in the same premises with every such
building, structure or use, off-street space
for the standing, loading and unloading .or
vehicles in accordance with the following:
1) at least one 10 foot by 35 foot loading
space (with a minvnum 14 foot height
clearance), for every 20, 000 sq. ft. or
fraction thereof in excess of 3, 000 sq.
ft. of building floor area.
2) the surface of such loading space shall
be treated in accordance with subsect-
ion 3.13 (8).
3) all off-street loading spaces shall be
located to the rear of the building line
or lines.
4) off-street loading spaces are prohibited
between the main front walls of the
building and the street line.
OCCUPANCY OF PARTIALLY
COMPLETED DWELLINGS
3.11 No new building shall be occupied before
the main side walls and roof have been
erected and external siding and roofing
have been completed, and kitchen, heat-
ing and sanitary conveniences have been
installed and connected to Municipal Serv-
ices.
PARKING
3.12 Unless otherwise specified in this By-law,
and with the exception of the Cl Zone,
the owner of every building hereafter
erected, enlarged or changed in use after
the passing of this By-law, shall provide
parking space in accordance with the
following schedule:

One space per 100 square feet of gross floor area
Retail Store, Department Store, Service Shop
One space per 200 square feet of gross floor area
Planned Shopping Centre
Six spaces per 1, 000 square feet of gross floor
area
Offices
One space per 300 square feet of gross floor area
Restaurants or place for dispensing refreshments to
the public
One space per 50 square feet of floor area dev-
oted to public use except for a drive-in facility
where one space per 50 sq. feet of gross floor
area is required.
Hotel
One space per suite for the first 20 suites. One
One additional parking space per 5 suites above
20 suites. One additional space for each 100 sq.
ft. of floor area devoted to public use.
Motel, Motor Hotel, Tourist Home or
Boarding House
One space per rental unit. One additional
parking space for each 100 sq. ft. of floor area
devoted to public use.
Bowling Alleys
Four spaces per bowling lane
Funeral Home
Minimum of twenty spaces or four spaces per
1000 sq. ft. of gross floor area, whichever is
greater.
INDUSTRIAL
Industrial Uses
Three spaces for every four employees of the
combined total of the two greatest successive
shifts of employees.
Institutional and Other
Churches, Auditoria, Theatres, Arenas, Halls,
Stadia, Private Clubs, and other places of assembly
Where there are fixed seats, one space for every
six seats, or 12 feet of bench space. Where
there are no foxed seats, one space for each
100 sq. ft. of floor area devoted to public use.
Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Welfare
Institutions
One space for each two beds or each 400 sq. ft.
of floor area whichever is greater, plus one
additional space for each four employees.
Medical clinic or Doctor's Office
Four spaces for each medical practitioner.
Schools -elementary
- secondary
One space per classroom exclusive of auditor-
ium,
Three spaces per classroom exclusive of
auditorium.
