St. Marys Presbyterian
Church, St. Marys was the
setting for the recent wedding
of Vicki Jerone Poole to Ken-
neth Thomas Westlake.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William Howard
Poole, of St. Marys and the
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Keith R. Westlake of
Zurich.
Baskets of pink and white
gladioli, carnations and white
daisies along with white candel-
abra and white pew bows dec-
orated the church for the double
ring ceremony. Rev. Vernon
Lozer officiated. Mrs. Fred
Haberer, aunt of the groom,
was the organist, while Miss
Elaine Westlake, sister of the
groom, sang "The Wedding
Song, " "Let It Be Me, " and
"The Lord's Prayer."
Given in marriage by her
father the bride wore a floor -
length gown of white polyester
trimmed with lace and seed
pearls and crystals and styled
with a stand-up collar and
empire waist, long sleeves and
ruffled skirt flowing into a
cathedral train. A Juliet cap
accented by a soft ruffle of
lace and trimmed with seed
pearls and crystals held her
French silk illusion veil in
place. A cascade of pink brid-
al roses, pink and white carn-
ations, white daisies and baby's
breath made up her bouquet.
Maid of honour was Pat Sparl-
ing of St. Marys, and brides-
maids included Lynda Thiel, of
Exeter, Susan Yantzi, of New
Hamburg, and Elaine Westlake,
sister of the groom, of Zurich.
The attendants were all
dressed alike in blue swiss dot
chiffon gowns with short puffed
sleeves, empire waist and trim-
med with white daisies with
blue centres. They wore white
picture hats trimmed with chif-
fon matching their gowns and
carried nosegays of pink and
white carnations, pink roses,
white daisies and baby's breath.
Diane Smith, of Mitchell,
cousin of the bride was flower -

girl. She was dressed identical
to the bridal attendants and
carried a miniature nosegay of
flowers the same as the brides-
maids.
Robert Westlake, of Zurich
acted as his brother's best man.
While ushering the guests were
Doug Kaufmann, of Oshawa,
cousin of the groom; Randy
Poole, of St. Marys, brother
of the bride; and John Talbot,
of Bayfield, cousin of the
groom.
For the wedding dinner and
reception that followed at the
Kirkton-Woodharn Community
Centre, the bride's mother
received guests wearing a del-
icate shrimp, floor -length
gown of chiffon over tafetta,
with long sheer sleeves, empire
waistline and dainty rhinestone
trim. A corsage of a white
cymbidiuin orchid and silver
accessories completed her
ensemble. The groom's moth-
er assisted wearing a long-
sleeved floor -length gown of
aqua flowered chiffon, with a
white cyrnbidium orchid cor-
sage and white accessories.
After a wedding trip to the
Maritime Provinces and the
eastern United States, Mr.
HE
and Mrs. Westlake will be
residing at 501 Errol Road,
Sarnia.
Guests attended from Sarnia,
Alvinston, Zurich, Bayfield,
Wingharn, Kitchener, Waterloo
Elmira, Conestoga, New Hamb-
urg, Scarborough, Pickering,
London, St, Thomas, Listowel,
