A number of patients have returned home from hospital following surgery, namely, Mrs. Ed Nadiger, Mrs. Louella Tiernan, Milfred Merner, and Mrs. Lloyd Guenther. Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Mill- er enjoyed a motor trip to the West this summer. They acc- ompanied their daughter and husband Mr. and Mrs. Harold Maine, Kitchener as far as Banff. They visited their two granddaughters and the Maines' daughters, Janet, and her husb- and Rev. James Bailey at Elphinstene, and Marilyn and her husband, Rev. William Bulger at Golden, B.C. As well they visited many rel- atives and friends and many places of interest. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Rader have returned hone following a twenty-five hundred mile trip to Lac Du Bonnet, Manit- oba, where they visited their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Howe, Mary Jo and Shelley. A copy of the Exeter Times Advocate was placed in the Kosy Korner snack bar along with the Winni- peg Free Press, the Beausejour Beaver ( a weekly newspaper which had won an award) and the Lac du Bonnet paper and it was truly interesting to hear the coffee break talk as prices in Ontario were compared with Manitoba prices. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Burke and Susan, Brampton, spent the weekend with Milt Haugh. Jim Hoffman is attending the International Rescue and First Aid Conference in Toronto this week. Mrs. Edith Love, Exeter, and Rey. and Mrs. Mervyn Love, Wyoming, were supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Love, Wednesday, August 21. Following supper, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Gill, Crediton and Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Harrison, Goderich, called and a surprise 25th wedding anniversary was held for Rev. and Mrs. Love when they were recipients of 25 silver dollars. Mrs. Wes Mellin and Mrs. Floss York, Parkhill, were dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Love, Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Eagleson and family, Manitoulin Island, and Mrs. Vivian Eagleson, Parkhill were Wednesday even- ing visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Rader and Stacey. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Wolfe, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Eagleson, Exeter, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Weber and Mr. and Mrs, Lyle Steeper, Corbett, attended the 25th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Eagleson, Southampton, Saturday, Aug- ust 10. MRS. C. RESTEMAYER Mrs. Clara Restemayer pass- ed away in Victoria Hospital, August 21, after a lengthy ill- ness. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, also a former choir member and Sunday School teacher. Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Margaret (Mrs. Victor Kraft) Port Franks, Grace (Mrs. Herbert Miller) 14th concession of Hay Town- ship and Madeline Fleet, Dashwood, one son Melvin, of Dashwood, also 13 grand- children. The funeral service was conducted at Zion Lutheran Church by Rev. M. Morgret, with interment in Zion Luther- an cemetery.
