Mrs. Case Van Raay opened the meeting with. a friendly welcome to the 19 members present. The ladies were asked to snake Baptismal robes that are used for the new babies of the parish. The C.W.L. are also donat- ing 20 new cassocks for the altar boys. The final plans were made pertaining to the pie booth at the Bean Festival, and the draw on a quilt will be made then also. Mrs. Roman Meidinger's group entertained with a few games of bingo and then lunch was served/ Mrs. Raymond Ducharme won the door prize for the evening. PERSONALS Mr. and Mrs. Morley Wit- mer, of Detroit, and Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Allisson and fam- ily, of Ncoshi, Missouri, were recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Steinbach. Miss Susan Carr has returned to Winnipeg, and was accomp- anied by Derek O'Brien who will spend his vacation at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carr. Mr. Cliff Cronkite is a pat- ient in University Hospital. Henry Flaxbard, a lifelong resident of the Zurich area celebrated his 88th birthday on Wednesday, at the Blue Water Rest Home in Zurich. Mr. Flaxbard just recently returned to the Rest Home after being a patient in South Huron I-Iosp- ital.
