Y O R Rgs:r hloMf An indication that we are one week closer to fall is the celebration of the Bean Festiv- al this coming weekend. The Ladies Auxiliary will be having their booth as usual, but in a different location. Look for their banners. The draw for their quilt will be made, and tickets are still available at the Home or will be at the Bear Festival. The consolation prize will be a music box. They are also having a table of home- made baking. All proceeds will go towards projects for the Home. Your patronage will be appreciated. An attractive barometer which has been hung on the lobby wall is of interest to our residents as well as passers by. It was donated in memory of the late Mrs. Mary Cameron by her family. We appreciate their thoughtfulness. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Harwick, of Michigan spent a couple of days visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Sweeney and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Johnston. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Bedard, of Windsor, visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Sweeney and Mrs. Leon Bedard. The program consis- ted of vocal numbers by Mrs. Delores Gingerich, Miss Carol Elliott, Miss Mary Lou Erb and Mrs. Grace Martin. Miss Carol Steckle and Mrs. Pearl Ann Martin favoured with guit- ar and accordian numbers. A reading was given by Mrs. VICTORIA GRADUATE Anne Hayter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ebner Ilayter, R,R.1, Varna, graduated on August 2, from the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in ceremonies held at Cent- ennial Hall, London. She has accepted a position at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, starting this Septem- ber.
