News of Dashwood
Bill Chandler and son Mark
spent a few days at Wiarton
with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fraser.
Mr. and Mrs. James Love,
Ottawa, spent a few days with
her sister, Mrs. Ninia Kraft
and fancily, Mr. and Mrs. Eric
Cosgrove, London spent Satur-
day here with them.
Martha Miller returned home
with Mr. and Mrs. Siegfried
Miller and family of Port Dov-
er after attending the Biesenthal
reunion at Windthorst, Sask.,
others attended from British
Columbia, Alberta and Sask.
Mrs. Jean Clark, Dresden, also
attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Burke and
Susan spent the weekend with
Milt Haugh.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller
and girls, Zion were supper
guests with Mr. and Mrs. Irvin
Rader, Sunday.
Vacationers with Mrs. Cora
Gaiser were Mr. and Mrs. Ray
Kretzman, Billie and Bob, of
Florida; Mrs. Jim Poland and
Lois, Campbellford, and Rev
and Mrs. Bruce Seebach and
family, K itchener.
BRIDAL SHOWER
Mrs. Ray VanDorsselaer and
Dianne Rader were hostesses
at a miscellaneous shower for
Fern Diehl, Stratford, bride -
elect of August, for relatives
and friends of the groom at
Dashwood Community Centre,
Sunday, July 28.
Following a contest, Fern
was recipient of many lovely
gifts for which she thanked
everyone. A dainty lunch was
served,
BRIDAL SHOWER
Sandra Tyler and Debra
McDonald were hostesses at a
miscellaneous shower for Mar-
lene Tyler, bride -elect of
September. Contests were enj-
oyed following which Marlene
received many lovely gifts.
She thanked everyone, and a
lovely lunch was served.
The Morgrets have returned
from a restful holiday on the
Bruce Peninsula. Swimming,
fishing and boating filled many
happy hours for all. While the
fish were not large, they were
plentiful, and catching is half
the fun.

Lloyd Heard is a patient in
Victoria Hospital, in London.
There will be no church
service in Varna United Church
during the month of August.
Services will commence again
on Sunday, September 1.
Rev. and Mrs. Alex Taylor
will be taking their vacation
in Scotland.
