BLUE H'XTER REST HOME
This past week has been
rather quiet, particularly for
this time of the year when
many people are on vacation
and our residents look forward
to visitors dropping in. I might
mention that our visiting hours
for our Hospital Wing are from
1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and morning
visits are permissible for Nor-
mal Care Residents.
For those who happen to drop,
in, tickets are on sale for the
beautiful quilt made by the
Ladies Auxiliary, The draw will
be made at the Zurich Bean
Festival. There is also a con-
solation prize. Mr. Gibson,
the Tuckshop attendant has
been doing a very good job of
selling tickets and they are
also available at the office if
the Tuckshop happens to be
closed.
Residents who were out visit-
ing this week were Mrs. Edna
McFarlane, Mrs, Fern Bowman,
Mrs, Hannah Talbot and Mr.
Moses Erb,
On Thursday afternoon the
group of girls, members of the
GMSA, under the leadership of
Miss Dorothy Steckle and Miss
Ann Martin visited the Home
and presented a musical program
for the residents. Following the
program the children and all
the residents who were physical')
able went ay bus and cars to
the Home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Martin where they were treated
to a wiener roast.
The weather was particularly
nice and by all reports, the

GOD UNFAILING
The Just Lord is in the midst
thereof; he will not do inequity,
every morning doth he bring his
judgement to light; he faileth
not.
He faileth not - for He is gone,
He faileth not - Hes' pledged
His Word.
He faileth not - He'll see you
through,

to do, Zephanieh 3:5

It's playtime!
(by Sally Dietrich)
The playground got off to a
good start this summer with
40 children participating in the
program.
Fifteen small enthusiastic
children arrive at 9 o'clock
each morning. They spend part
of the morning in active games
such as relays, dashes, tag,
floor hockey, soccer baseball
and frisbee and the very young
ones enjoy the sand box and
swings,
Then "quiet time" in the
community centre when they
enjoy arts and crafts. They have
made caterpillars and bugs from
egg cartons. Drawing and paint-
ing are also popular activities.
I'm sure some mothers will
wonder if their child was paint-
ing him or herself or a picture.
11;30 to 12 is free play and 12
o'clock arrives all too soon.
Twenty-five children in the
afternoon group also have their
crafts in the community centre.
They have made vases from pop
bottles, actopi from old nylons,
learned magazine folding to
make ornamental birdhouses and
have also painted stones. Active
games include baseball, soccer
baseball, dodgeball, and arch
ball rounders,
On July 17, two teams consist-
ing of eight girls and eight boys
went to Play Day in Clinton.
We were pleased to come home
with two firsts and two thirds out
of seven events, since we comp-
eted against teams from Owen
Sound, Hanover, Kincardine,
Clinton, Goderich, Seaforth and
Exeter.
We are now practicing for our
own Track and Field meet on
Wednesday, July 24. Twelve
people will proceed to the Lake
Huron Zone Track and Field
meet in Owen Sound on July 31.
We will drive to Goderich and
then by bus to Owen Sound,
where a full day's activities will
start at 10 a.m.
I would like to thank every-
one who gave articles in our
scavanger hunt. All the articles
are being used in some way and
I really appreciated your cont-
ributions.
CUTTING CALORIES
When next making Italian
Lasagna, try substituting ricotta
cheese in place of cottage
cheese and use mozarella inst-
