Henson Kinettes
Iist projects
The fund raising projects of
the Kinette Club this year incl-
uded a fall and spring rummage
sale, a food booth at the Hen-
sall Spring Fair and the Fiddler's
Contest, The group are plan-
ning to have an afghan draw
the Saturday night of the Fiddl-
er's Contest, June 15.
They also had a Harvest
Dance, and sold tickets on a
three minute shopping spree or
$50 in cash, and assisted the
Kinsmen with the Cystic Fibros-
is Dance on May 4. Kinette
cook books were also sold.
Profits from these projects
are returned to the community
in many ways. On Palm Sunday
the Kinettes visited the shut-
ins from the community and
gave them a potted plant, and
at Christmas they take them a
tray of assorted homemade
goodies and fruit. Two scholar-
ships of $25 each are presented
to the highest boy and girl in
grade S each year.
The club entertains patients
at the Goderich Psychiatric Hos-
pital and sponsors an Italian
child through the Canadian Save
the Children Fund. For several
years they have canvassed the
community for the Ability Fund
and made donations to the
Arthritis Society, Remembrance
Day Wreathm CNIB, Salvation
Army, War Memorial Hospital,
Girl Guides, Mental Health
Association and Cystic Fibrosis.
A donation was made to
Huronview at Clinton to help
buy a bus for the patients. The
Kinettes entertained the pat-
ients at the Queensway Nursing
Home at Christmas time and
presented them with a gift.
They sponsored an eight week

SNIDER
If headlights shine more
brightly when the engine is
raced, your battery output
may be low,
Lubrication reduces friction
and wear, decreases noise and
carries away heat.
If you hear a metallic clanging
when you race your motor, it
may mean your muffler or
tailpipe is loose, and hitting
against the rear axle.
Doe; your steering wheel
vibrate at speeds above 50
miles per hour? Tires may need
balancing.
It wasn't until 1910 that cars
had windshields as standard
equipment. The first ones were
made with wooden frames.
We'II bring you up to dote on the
latest in car design at Larry Sniders.
