Daffodils, in my opinion,
seem to be one of the greatest
morale builders in the spring,
and the warm sunny days over
the weekend brought a great
many out into bloom along with
other spring flowers.
Monday evening films were
shown after whish refreshments
were enjoyed.
On Tuesday evening the
monthly birthday party was
sponsored by the Catholic
Women's League of St. Peter's
Roman Catholic Church, St.
Joseph. The residents were
entertained during the evening
by Mr. James Murray and Mr.
Clare Masse. The old tyme
music was enjoyed by all pres-
ent. Following the program, a
delicious lunch was served.
Residents celebrating birthdays
during rhe month of April are
Mrs. Mary Passmore, Mrs.
Myrtle Woodford and Mr. Well-
ington Riehl. Gifts provided by
the Ladies Auxiliary were dist-
ributed to the celebrants.
On Wednesday afternoon some
of the residents enjoyed an out-
ing in the bus. As the clays
become warmer and sunnier,
they will be looking forward to
more outings,
Wednesday evening•the child-
ren from the Gospel Hall Sunda)
School, Grand Bend, presented
their regular monthly musical
program. This is something the
residents all enjoy and look
forward to.
We regret that Mrs, Anne
Rehn is a patient in University
Hospital, London, and Mr.
Henry Flaxbard in South Huron
Hospital, Exeter.
On Sunday we held our semi-
annual Family Dinner for
residents and their guests. Most
of them had at least one guest
and the largest family presented
numbered 25. This is a happy

great grandchildren remark
about going to Grandma's house
for dinner. We have found that
the guests present enjoy the
dinner equally as much as their
host or hostess. Of course we
must not overlook the fact that
the cook, Mrs. Horn and her
staff are responsible for making
this occasion the successful
event that it is.
We wish to welcome Mrs.
Horton McDougall, formerly
of 1{ensall to our Home.
The weekly chapel service
was withdrawn due to the fantil}
dinner.
We are always looking for
odds and ends of material, jew-
ellery, etc., that we might be
able to put to good use in the
craft room. Perhaps you could
keep this in mind while you are
busy housecleaning closets and
drawers.

CAC is urging food processors tc
adopt the use of an indicator
which would alert consumers if
frozen food had undergone some
abuse. Such an indicator would
also assist both manufacturers
