Obituary
HAROLD C. WALPER
Harold C. Waiper, R,R,2,
Grand Bend, passed away at
Huronview, Clinton on Friday
April 19.
The son of the late Christian
and Mary (Stephari) Walper, he
was born in Dashwood on April
10, 1890. At an early age he
moved with his parents to a
farm on the Mollard line in
Stephen Township where he was
actively engaged in farming
until his retirement to R. R.2,
Grand Bend, in the fall of 1962.
A former member of the
South Huron District High Schoo:
Board, he was also a member
of the Grand Bend United Churcl-.

M. Schram, pre -deceased him
in March, 1971. He is survived
by a daughter, Helen, Mrs.
Wallace Becker, New Hamburg;
a son, Alan, of R. R, 3, Parkhill,
and six grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at
the T.H. Hoffman Funeral
1-lome, Dashwood with Rev.
1-1,G , Dobson, Grand Bend,
officiating. Interment was in
Grand Bend cemetery.
Pallbearers were neighbors
and friends. Orval Farrell,
Alan Turnbull, Harvey Waiper,
Lloyd Waiper, Wellwood Gill
and Ray Mollard.

The wife, standing on a ladder
to wash the ceiling, called to her
husband who was watching a
football game on television: "If 1
fall off will you call an ambulance
at half time?"
