JOYCE PEPPER, The regular April meeting of St. Pauls Anglican Church Women was held Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. R. Middleton. The meeting opened with a hymn and prayer. The roll call was answered with a Bible prayer verse. An invitation from the Hensall U.C.W. to attend their gener- al meeting on May 6 was acc- epted. A bale will be packed at the next meeting in the church basement. Members are to bring articles for this bale. The Lit- any and prayers were read from the Living Message and also a contest "Who was she?" was conducted. An organ inst- rumental by Mrs. Middleton was enjoyed by all. Mrs. And- erson closed the meeting with prayer. AMBER REBEKAH LODGE The regular meeting of the Amber Rebekah Lodge was held Wednesday evening in the lodge rooms with N.G. Mrs. Aldeen Volland presiding and being assisted by V .G. Mrs. Margaret YOU'LL CORRESPONDENT Consitt, The meeting opened in regular form being the spring visit of D.D.P. Mrs. Mary Gregg, of District 23, who was welcomed in the usual manner. A number of visitors were present from Exeter and Clinton. A donation was made to the District Fund. A financ- ial report of the Lodge was given by treasurer Mrs. Dorothy Corbett. It was reported that the District Church Service will be held in the Anglican Church in Exeter on April 28. The local L.O, O.F. and Rebekah Lodge Church service will be held at Carmel Presbyterian Church in Hensall on May 5. It was also decided that a Dessert Euchre will be held in Amber Lodge rooms May 8 at 1 30 p. m. Everyone is welcome. The District report was given and accepted. D.D.P. Mrs. Gregg took as her topic and said a few words on "Oddfellow- ship. " A delicious lunch was served in the lower hall at the conclusion of the meeting. PERSONALS The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul McKellar, of Seaforth was baptized in St. Paul's Anglican Church Sunday morning by the Rev. G.A. Anderson, The Forrest family entertained by playing "In the Garden, " using organ, violin and bass guitar, and also play- ed for the singing of an Easter Hymn. Mr. Carl Payne has returned from Oceanside, California after visiting with his daughter and son-in-law and family for the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dill- ing and family of Sarnia visited with the former's parents Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Dilling, on Sunday, A very good crowd attended the estate house auction sale for Mrs. Jane McMurtrie on Saturday. The house was sold to Mrs. Joyce Dobson. Rev. Don Beck conducted the service of Worship in Hensall United Church on Sunday morn- ing and used as his sermon topic "In the End." The choir sang the anthem "Now let the Heavens be Joyful, " under the direction of the organist and choir director Mrs. Turkheim. Persons interested in particip- ating in this program as either a junior agriculturalist or as a host farmer, should contact Len MacGregor, at the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food in Clinton for more infor- mation and an application form before May 1, 1974.
