ZONE CHAMPIONS - The Zurich Peewees won the Zone Championship this season when they
eliminated Mitchell in the final round for the trophy. Members of the team are left to right;

Zurich Peewees win zone

The Zurich Peewees won their
zone championship when they
defeated Seaforth 5-1 in a one
game decision for the title. •
Steven Grainger led the Zurich
attack when he scored the only
goal of the first period.
Grant Love and Steven Graing-
er were the marksmen in the
second period with Love scoring
twice and Grainger scoring once
giving the locals a 4-1 lead at
the end of the second stanza.
Each team managed to score
once in the third period leaving
the game in 5-1 victory for Zur-
ich. Barry Overholt scored for

'Zurich while Seaforth's lone goal
was scored by Johnny Nielson.
Zurich received three minor
penalties while Seaforth drew
only one.
The Peewees also placed as
runners-up in the WOAA "E"
series when they were defeated
by Paisley in two straight games
The score of the second game
was Paisley 5 - Zurich 1.
Paisley held a 3-1 lead over
Zurich at the end of the first
period on goals from Watson
McIver, Bob Nelson and Bill
Rolston. Ken Oesch was the
marksman for Zurich.
Bob Kingston and George
Campbell each rallied once in
the second and third periods
giving Paisley their 5-1 victory.
Zurich drew three minor pen-
alties during the game while
Paisley received two.

The Invitation to Live Crus-
ade Team visited the Home on
Friday afternoon and held a
service in the auditorium.
Rev. McWhinnie introduced the
Team which included Rev.
Marney Patterson, theme speak-
er, Mrs. Marshall, soloist,
Mrs. Mills, Pianist and devot-
ional leader for the service.
Three new residents, Mrs.
Vincent, Mrs. Bernard and Mrs.
Hoggart were welcomed to the
Home and those having birth-
days during the week were
honoured at Monday's activities,
Marie Flynn, Norman Spelt,
Jerry and Terry provided the
music with volunteers from the
Christian Reformed Church assist
ing with wheel chairs.
The McQuaid Family of Sea -
forth entertained on Family
Night with step dancing, vocal
and instrumental nuinbers.
