UNITED CHURCH NOTES
A duet entitled "In the Gard-
en" sang by Don and Gail Trav-
ers highlighted the service of
worship in Hensall United Church
Sunday morning. Rev. Don
Beck preached on the sermon
topic "The end or the beginning'
4-H CLUBS
The Hensall I 4-1-1 Club met
at the home of Mrs. William
Fuss on Monday evening for
meeting VI.Twelve members
answered the roll call - one
habit I will follow that will help
make a lovely complexion.
Hairdresser Lynda Bower was in
attendance and demonstrated
hair care and hair styles, and
answered many questions on
hair products and appliances.
Next meeting will be on April 9.
Meeting VI of the "Glamour
Girls" of Hensall II was held
at the home of Mrs. Peter Bis -
back on Tuesday evening.
Topic for discussion was hair,
and three main points discussed
were: 1. Three things you think
are important to giving your
hair care. 2. The type of hair
you have and how you care for
it; 3. Four or five things you
learned about hair styling.
After discussing these, we
experimented with wigs and
rollers creating quite different
effects on some of the girls.
Ten girls answered the roll call
which was "One health habit I
will follow that will help make
a lovely complexion." Instruct-
ions for the special project were

Bevan Bonthron has returned
from a seven day vacation to
the Carribean courtesy of the
Sealy Mattress Company of
Toronto.
CURLING CLUB
The annual meeting of the
Hensall Curling Club was held
in the arena auditorium on
March 26. Trophies and prizes
were awarded prior to the meet-
ing.
The officers elected for the
coming year are as follows;
president, Harold Caldwell,
first vice-president, Cecil
Pepper; second vice-president,
John Henderson; secretary -
treasurer, Eric Luther; social
committee; Mr. and Mrs. Nick
Blom, Mr. and Mrs. Stu Broad -
foot, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bell,
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Neilands,
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Shirray;
games and membership comm-
ittee; Bob Caldwell, Ray Con-
sitt, Ken Clarke, Wayne Mc-
Bride and Tony Charrette.

you apply direct pressure on
the wound using a clean pad
or your hand. Have the casualty
sit or lie down and raise the
injured part above heart level.

KIPPEN EAST W.I.
The Kippen East Women's
Institute entertained the
residents of Huronview on the
occasion of the monthly birth-
day party. Old tyme dances,
duet by Margaret Hoggarth and
Rose Hummel, piano instrum-
ental by Mary Broadfoot and
Francis Kinsman and commun-
ity singing highlighted the pro-
gram.
Mrs. R. Kinsman and Mrs.
R. Broadfoot were in charge of
the program
Mr. and Mrs. Ken McLellan
and Mr. and Mrs. John R.
Cooper have returned from a
very pleasant holiday in Hawaii,
Following a very successful
auction sale, March 30, Mr.
and Mrs. Ernest Whitehouse
have moved to their new home
in Egmondville.
Mrs. Elzar Mousseau returned
home on Wednesday from
Seaforth Community Hospital.
JUNIOR FARMERS
Representatives of Huron
County Junior Farmers, from
Exeter, Hensall, Seaforth,
Clinton and Goderich areas,
conducted the church service at
St. Andrew's church, Kippers,
on March 31. Leaders were John
Kinsman and Monty Plumb,
Kippen. The Junior Farmer's
choir and the Henderson sisters
of Seaforth provided music with
guitar accompaniment by Tom
Melaney.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Penhale,
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Faber, and
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Faber have
returned from a week's holiday
in Holland and Germany. They
report having a very nice trip.
Mr. Rick Penhale spent a
week with his grandparents
Mr. and Mrs. H. Penhale while
his parents were in Holland and
Germany.
Mr. and Mrs. Hughes visited
with Mr. and Mrs, H. Penhale
one day lately.
