EUROPE PRIME MARKET - Europe will increase purchases of Ontario White Beans this year,
predicts Philip Durand, of Zurich, Chairman of the Ontario White Bean Producers' Marketing
Board. Mr. Durand (above, right) last month completed a six -country European tour to assess
future demand for Ontario white beans. Shown with Mr. Durand in the lobby of Ontario llouse in
London, England, are the two other members of the three-man mission, John Hazlitt (left), of
Goderich, and Joseph Miller, R.R.1, Dashwood, both Board Directors.
Court action?
" "The Ontario government
will be taken to the courts if
it fails to give municipalities
sufficient say in running the
electricity system."
This was decided in a resol-
ution last week at the annual
convention of the Ontario
Municipal Electric Association,
which represents about 350
municipal electric utilities
who distribute electric power.
The association, which has
a 70 per cent ownership --and
$800million stake --in the
electricity system, is objecting
to the fact that the government
has given it only two seats on
the 12 -member board of the
Ontario Hydro Corporation.
Last week's resolution states
that the Ontario government
will be asked to issue common
voting stock certificates in
Hydro to each municipal elect-
ric utility concerned.
Alternatively, the govern-
ment will be asked to pay cash
in proportion to each mun-
icipality's equity in the system
If necessary, the delegates
resolved, the matter will be
taken to the courts.

Our leaders discussed what
storage resources are essential
in a bedroom, along with
possible ways of improving
bedroom storage. We learned
there are four main types of
closets; (1) walk in' (2) reach -
in; (3) the walked closets;
and (4) and improvised. Other
storage resources in the bedroom
could be shelves, drawers, and
accessories such as rods, hang-
ers, hooks and boxes.
We also discussed how to care
for and store your clothes.
The meeting ended after
being served hot chocolate and
donuts.
The next meeting will be
held March 18, at the home of
