BLUE WATER REST HOME
One hardly has to look at the
calendar after stepping outside
to know that it must be March
by those cold, strong winds.
However, each day brings us
closer to the warm spring days.
Last Monday evening was
film time again and the maj-
ority of our residents enjoy this
entertainment.
Since Wednesday was one of
our sunny days, the residents
were eager to take advantage
of the bus ride provided for
them. They travelled along the
lake shore to Goderich, back
down through Clinton and fin-
ally back home.
The Ladies Auxiliary of the
Home held their regular month-
ly meeting on Wednesday even-
ing. Prior to the business part
of the meeting they gathered in
the dining room with the resid-
ents and were entertained by
George Mathonia playing the
accordian and accompanied by
his son with his guitar. Follow-
ing this a sing -song was enjoy-
ed. Mrs. Thelma Thiel and
Mrs. Theresa Stark were the
ladies in charge and served a
delicious lunch around the
theme of St. Patrick's Day.
We regret that Mr. Henry
Flaxbard, Mrs. Isabella West-
lake and Mr. Foy Desjardine
are patients in South Huron
Hospital, Exeter.
On Sunday afternoon, March
17, at 3 p.m. the new organ
donated by the Zurich Lions
Club will be dedicated in the
chapel. A number of the clergy
from the area will be taking

Powder Puffs
(by Dale Schwartzentrubery
Our third meeting was held
on March 11 with 11 girls pres-
ent. Our roll call was, "one
good grooming habit I will
practice." They answered with
clean hair, nails and skin.
It was reported the milk bath
as okay and their skin wai
softer, Also we are proud to
say three out of our five finger-
nail biters have stopped biting
their fingernails. They were
Debbie Eckel, Daryl Rawlings
and Barbara Hoffman. Congrat-
ulations, keep it up.
Our discussion for the even-
ing was on closets and good
storage. We found out there
were many things we could use.
Our bedrooms were also discus-
sed and many changes came
out.
No meeting next week due to
Easter break but we must have
our books up to date.
If all goes well we will have
a film for our next meeting.
We are to bring our sewing
material to our next meeting.
We closed with popcorn and
freshi'.
