What's new at Hur, review
A musical group of students
from the Clinton Christian
Reform School led by Clarence
Vos helped to provide the music
for the Sunday evening song
service. Mr. Aire Van der Ende
leader of the service presented
twenty-five new gospel song
books to the Home on behalf
of the Christian Reform congre-
gation.
Mrs. Kelly of Goderich was
welcomed to the Home at Mon-
day afternoons gettogether.
Marie Flynn, Norman Speir and
Jerry Collins provided the old
tyme music with Clinton
Christian Reform volunteers
assisting with activities.
Rev. McWhinnie, Chaplain
of the Home, is leading the
Bible Study for the next two
weeks while the regular teacher,
Mrs. Prouti, is holidaying in
Florida.
The McMillan Family Fort-
ress of Goderich provided the
"Family Night" program on
Thursday evening. This group
include Mr. and Mrs. McMill-
an and their family, Eleanor,
Elizabeth and Ernie, along with
a piano accompanist taken this
week by Mrs. Don Stewart.
The McMillan's are very well
known for their musical talents
in the Goderich area. They were
invited to join a noted Evange-
list last year for a three-week
tour of the Southern Islands.
The program included music-
al numbers by the family, who
all play wind instruments, as
well as solos by Ernie, duets
by Elizabeth and Eleanor, and
vocal duets by Don and Mrs.
McMillan. The audience were
taken on the Evangelistic tour
Mr. Rochus Faber is vacat-
ioning in Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Cooper
and girls are holidaying in
Florida.
Mr. Tom Munroe who unfort-
unately sprained his ankle at
work is convalescing at his home
A farewell party for Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Elgie who are mov-
ing to Exeter was held at the
home of Ray Consitt on March

Kippen II 4-H Club held their
first meeting on the project,
"Taking a Look at Yourself, "
at the home of the leader, Mrs.
Angus Hummel. Mrs. Al Hog-
garth is assistant leader. Offic-
ers elected were president, Sus-
ie Hoornaert, Vice-president,
Shirley Chalmers, secretary,
Doreen Van Wieren. Press rep-
orter Lynn Alderdice.

A world day of prayer service
was held in the chapel on Fri-
day morning. The ladies of St.
Joseph. Roman Catholic Church,
Clinton, were in charge of the
service this year. Mrs. Tony
Brand and Mrs. John Van
Beers led the service with a
choir of twenty students from
St. Joseph school, leading the
singing, assisted by their teach-
ers Mrs. Dalaney and Mrs.
Carbert. The collection was
received by residents Mrs.
Shouldice and Mrs. Valkenburg.

YOUNG BOWLERS DO WELL - The Zurich Junior Bowling team has been making a good show
in recent weeks in competition with teams from across Ontario. The local team placed fourth in
a recent tourney held in Zurich, competing against teams from seven or eight other communit-
