HEADPHONES IMPAIR
Consumers' Association of
Canada advises motorists not to
impair their senses by wearing
headphones while driving a
vehicle. Headphones are best
saved for a relaxed home envir-
onment, not for hazardous traf-
fic situations. CAC National
Office is located at 100 Glou-
cester Street, Ottawa.

ner, Miss Jane Pengilley, Hur-

uring system and also how to
think Metric. The change to
metric will be gradual and we
not be complete until 1980.

on the motto, "If we do not
plant knowledge when we are
young, it will give us no shade
when we are old" and the roll

INDOOR BULBS
Consumers' Association of
Canada advises that bulbs can
be "launched" indoors. Properly
ventilated containers and an
unfertilized soil mixture with
good drainage qualities are ess-
ential. Pack soil around bulbs
leaving tips exposed and keep in
a dark cool place (40 to 50 deg.)
Water regularly. When tips
begin to grow, place bulbs in a
warmer area (60 to 65 deg.)
where they will develop stems,
leaves, and blooms. CAC Nation
al Office is located at 100 Glou-
cester Street, Ottawa.
Lynn Alderdice and Linda Bell,

esy remarks. Mrs. J. Chalmers

ipes.
