6LVE WAtE R Sr HOME .
By the time this article is
published, January will have
passed the half way mark, the
days are noticeably longer and
hopefully we can soon look for-
ward to the first signs of spring.
Monday evening was our usual
film night, and the refreshments
are always an enjoyable part of
the evening.
We were pleased to have some
of the ladies from town, Mrs.
Annie Finkbeiner, Mrs. William
Lawrence and Mrs. Norman
Gascho spent an afternoon with
our ladies quilting. There is
a standing invitation for anyone
in the surrounding community
who would enjoy an afternoon
of quilting.
We wish to thank the family
of the late Miss Isabel Cumm-
ings for the "In Memorian gift"
of a walker.
The sympathy of residents and
staff is extended to the family
of the late Mr. George Sheppard,
formerly of Thedford.
On Thursday evening, the
GMSA girls and their sponsors
of the Zurich and Blake Men-
nonite churches provided a
musical program for the resid-
ents. Group singing was enjoyed,
piano solos were rendered by
Misses Mary Ellen Steckle,
Sandra Armstrong and Ruth Mart-
in. Miss Ruth Gingerich and Kim
Oesch favoured with a ukulele
duet. Following the program the
sponsors of the group and some
of the mothers provided a delic-
ious lunch.

success might be worth thinking
about. "To laugh often and
much; to win the respect of
intelligent people and the aff-
ection of children; to earn the
appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false
friends; to appreciate beauty;
to find the best in others; to
leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch, or a redeemed
social condition; to know even
one life has breathed easier
because you lived.This is to
have succeeded.
Friday evening bingo was
enjoyed fol lowed by refresh-
ments.
We welcome Mr. Albert
Bedour to our Home. He has
been a life long resident of
