Married in St. Peters Church
STADE - VERMUNT
Joanne Vermunt, R.R.2,
Zurich, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Marinus Vermunt, R.R. 2,
Zurich, and Douglas N. Stade,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Stade, Zurich, exchanged mar-
riage vows at St. Peter's Roman
Catholic Church, St. Joseph
on Saturday, November 10, 1973,
at 3 o'clock.
Father Bensette performed the
double -ring ceremony amidst
bouquets of white daisies and
yellow mums.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a floor -
length gown of polyester satin
with empire waist. The bodice
and sleeves were trimmed with
lace, and she carried a bouquet
of yellow roses and straw flowers,

maid of honor wearing a gown
with burgundy velvet bodice and
sleeves, and a full length skirt
of pink nylon chiffon.
Miss Mary Ann Vermunt,
sister of the bride was brides-
maid wearing a gown with dark
green velvet bodice and light
green skirt.
Miss Charlene Jeffrey, friend
of the bride, was also brides-
maid wearing a gown with
royal blue velvet bodice and
sleeves, and a skirt of light blue
nylon chiffon. The attendants
all carried bouquets of yellow
daisies and strawflowers.
The groomsman was Bill
Fairbairn, of Exeter, and Walter
Vermunt, brother of the bride
and Richard Fisher, of Zurich,
ushered the guests.
Mrs. Henry Rau and daughter
Julie provided the wedding mus-
ic.
A reception was held in the
Dashwood Community Centre
where the bride's mother receiv-
ed guests wearing a red crimpl-
ed lace gown and a pale orchid.
She was assisted by the groom's
mother, wearing a long sleeved
apple green chiffon over nylon
gown. Her corsage was Talisman
roses with matching rosettes in
her hair.
The young couple flew to
British Columbia for a wedding
trip and will reside at R. R, 3,
Bayfield, upon their return.
The bride is employed at the
Bank of Montreal in Zurich and
the groom at Stade Hardware ,
in Zurich.
News of
Varna
The Christmas meeting of the
United Church Women will be
held in the form of a pot -luck
dinner at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Bob Taylor, in Clinton, on
Wednesday, December 5.
(Note change of date).
Roy Keys returned home last
Saturday after a stay in Exeter
Hospital.
Harvey Coleman is at present
a patient in Victoria Hospital,
London.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred McCly-
mont spent the past ten days
visiting relatives in King City,
Willowdale and Guelph.
