BLUR WATER 'RAST HOME
During this week, everyone
concerned with the success of
our annual bazaar, bake sale
and tea will be working full
time to complete articles for
the bazaar tables, be picking
out their favourite recipes they
intend to bake, and schedule
their time to be able to attend
the tea on Saturday, November
24 between the hours of 2 and
4 p.m. The demand for home
baking is so great that we never
seem to have quite enough to
supply the demand, so if you
have time to whip up something
extra for the bake table, I know
it will be very much appreciat-
ed.
Monday evening was film
night, followed by refreshments.
On Tuesday morning, Mr.
Lawrence Wein, of Exeter,
made his monthly visit to play
the piano and have the residents
join in on a sing -song with him.
The new sound system recently
installed in the dining room,
through the generosity of the
Ladies Auxiliary is proving to be
a great asset.
On Wednesday afternoon, the
residents took advantage of the
nice weather and enjoyed a bus
ride through the Grand Bend
and Crediton area.
Wednesday evening our regul-
ar monthly birthday party was
held sponsored by the Ladies of
Hensall United Church. The
program consisted of musical
numbers with Mr. Frank Forrest
playing the violin accompanied
on the piano by Mrs. Mary
Broadfoot. Vocal numbers were
rendered by Gail and Don Trav-
ers accompanied on the piano
by Helen Goddard. Many favour-
able comments were passed
concerning the program.
