Pupils in the public schools will
be asked to provide sketches,
as well, if they wish to partic-
ipate in this art work.
Permission was also granted to
CFPL- TV in London to distribute
material to all the schools reg-
arding a contest to name the neH
St. Bernard pup now on TV to
replace the former dog "Hamish"
on the Junior Talent Show.

Tokar and chairman John Mc-
Cann or alternates will attend
an Ontario Separate School
Trustee Association conference
in Toronto on December 8.
The plenary sessions will deal
with various topics such as Focus
on Faith in the Future and re-
organization of the Ontario Sep-
arate School Trustees Associat-
ion.
Howard Shantz of Stratford
presented a couple of prelimin-
ary designs of a brochure on
the Huron -Perth County Roman
Catholic Separate School Board
that would outline the availab-
ility of separate schools within
Huron and Perth Counties and
other information. Authorizat-
ion was given to approach a
printer for a format.
The board approved having
the Ad Hoc Committee on
Building Projects hire an engin-
eer to make a layout for a drain-
age plan for the playground at
St. Aloysius School, and this
plan to include having the
existing field tile drain into the
new sewage system.
David Teahen, chairman
of the Personnel Committee,
reported his committee is meet-
ing with the teachers negotiat-
ing committee at the Board
Office on Wednesday evening
to continue negotiations for the
1973-74 salary agreement.

Local couple married 50 years
Saturday, October 20, mark-
ed a happy occasion for a pop-
ular Zurich couple, Mr. and
Mrs. Remi Denomme, when
they were honoured by their
children on their 50th Golden
Wedding Anniversary.
High Mass was celebrated at
St. Andrew the Apostle Church
in London, with Father LeBoeuf
and Father Sonderup officiating
A highlight of the church cere-
mony for the couple was the
presentation of a certificate
from Pope Paul the Sixth, be-
stowing the Papal Blessing of
the Holy Father on them.
A reception and dinner was
held at the home of their dau-
ghter, Ivlarie, in London.
Mr. and Mrs. Denomme
were married in St. Boniface
Church, Zurich, on October
22, 1923. Mrs. Denomme is
the former Louise Geromette.
They were blessed with a fam-
ily of thirteen children. The
are: Joseph, R.R.1, Zurich;
Mrs. Vince (Jeanne) Lafram-
boise, River Canard; Dora
(deceased); Dennis, Toronto;
Leroy, Windsor; Raymond,
Ingersoll; Mrs. Emmanuel
(Shirley) Cote, River Canard;
Lloyd, Zurich; Napoleon, Win-
dsor; Ivirs. Steve (Patricia)
Meidinger, Zurich; Remi,
London; Mrs. Des (Marie) Sawa,
London; Mrs. Keith, (Ann)
Anderson, London. There are
also 45 grandchildren and five
great grandchildren.
