BLUE WATER REST HOME
Now that squaw winter has
passed, I hope we can look
forward to Indian Summer, and
perhaps the bus will be able to
take a few more runs before
winter sets in. In fact, as
Christmas approaches, perhaps
the residents might have the
opportunity to get out and see
all the Christmas lights and
decorations which I am sure
they would enjoy.
As of this week, the doors of
the Home have been opened to
the reception of residents for
seven years, and we are now
beginning our eighth year of
operation. The late Mrs. Berths
Uttley was our first resident
and Mr. Chester Smith who is
still with us was our second one
A lot of water has gone under
the bridge since this time but
for those of us who were here to
welcome our first guests, we
find it interesting to recall somt
of the events and amusing inci-
dents which have taken place
as well as the many interesting
things we have learned and
listened to from the many
people from all walks of life
who have come and gone dur-
ing this length of time.
To commemorate our anniv-
Ivir. and Mrs. Morley Witmer
were recent visitors. Mrs. Ted
Steinbach spent a weekend in
Detroit with them.
Mr. and Mrs. James Hackett,
and family, of Aurora, spent
the weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Ted Steinbach.
