JOYCE PEPPER, CORRESPONDENT Mr, an d Mrs. Bill Sherritt of St. Marys visited recently with her mother Mrs. Jane Crone. Mr. and Mrs. Desmond Ivey of Sarnia visited with their mother, Mrs. Daisy Ivey. Miss Marjorie Schwalm of Sarnia visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Schwalm Margaret Mousseau and Alma Hess, of Hensall spent two days last week at the "Right of Life" festival held at the high school auditorium, and also attended the protest march to the parliament buildings in Ottawa. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Pym, and Mrs. Ruth Knight of Sea - forth, visited the weekend with the latter's daughter and family, Mrs. Tony Shulman at Embro, and while there attended the graduation of their granddaughter, Marcia, from the Woodstock Collegiate. 4-H CLUB MEETING The Hensall 4-H Club held their fourth meeting on the 30th of October at the home of Mrs. Bill Fuss. For the roll call each girl named a food originally made at home, but not bought. Dutch, German and Belgian foods were discussed. German tea squares were made and enjoyed by many. UNITED CHURCH The children's choir entert- ained Sunday for the Service at Hensall United Church. They sang several numbers accomp- anied at the piano by Mrs. Norma Pryde and assisted by Mrs. Shirley McAllister. Rev. Don Beck preached on the sermon topic "Some steps to Faith." and the senior choir sang an anthem under the dir- ection of Mrs. Turkheim,. The senior choir is preparing special music for the Novemb- er 18 Historical Service and would like to get copies of the book "Songs of Faith and Triumph." Beck, Obituaries ROBERT CAMPBELL At Sarnia General Hospital on Saturday, November 3, 1973 Robert Glenn Campbell of Sarnia, formerly of Hensall, passed away in his 40th year. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Campbell, Hensall, five brothers, Gerald, of Exeter, Lloyd, Exeter, Arnold, Exeter, Kenneth, Ailsa Craig, Homer, Hensall; two sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Doreen) Smith, Lucan and Mrs. Larry (Mary) Cronyn, Centralia. He was predeceased by two broth- ers, Roy and Harold. The late Mr. Campbell rest- ed at the Bonthron Funeral Chapel in Hensall until Monday November 5, when a private funeral service was held with Rev. W. Jarvis officiating. Interment was in Exeter Cem- etery. Pallbearers were Alvin, Eric, Jim, Donald, Gary, and John Campbell. ELDON JARROTT Eldon Jarrott passed away at his residence in Brucefield on Monday, November 1, in his 4llf t µiia. 17!% nj�d a '77th year. He was the husband of the late Olive Anderson. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Don (Marie) Brunzlow, Exeter, and Mrs. Maurice (Ruth Ann) Haist of R,R,2, Centralia; two sisters, Mrs. Hugh (Anne) Love, of Hensall and Mrs. Luella Norris, of Seaforth. Six grandchildren also survive. The late Mr. Jarrot rested at the Bonthron Funeral Chapel in Hensall where funeral serv- ice was held on Monday, November 5, with Rev. Paul Packman officiating. Inter- ment in Bayfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edgar Smith, Emerson Anderson, Laird Nor- ris, Archie Parsons, Bob Daly- rmple and Percy Campbell. Hensall Kinettes choose queen Liz Bell was named Harvest Queen on October 19, at the Harvest Horne Dance sponsored by the Kinette Club of Hensall, Reeve John Baker presented the Queen with a dozen red roses and Joanne Bell, president of the club, presented her with a Kinette spoon. Music was prov- ided by the Bluetones. Proceeds of the dance will go to service work in the community. The Kinettes are planning to visit the Queensway Nursing Horne at Christmas and will also visit the shut-ins in the village of Hensall, Best From Start To Finish!
