hosts society

Zurich Women's Institute met
on Monday evening, October
1, in Hay Township Hall with
20 members in attendance.
Mrs, M. McKinnon was wel-
comed as a new member of the
organization.
Mrs. T, Meyers opened the
meeting with some suitable
thoughts and a poem. She also
read the resolutions to be
brought in at the area convent-
ion in November. A reading
was given by Mrs. Ferri Desj-
ardine.
The president, Mrs. M.
Klapp, gave a report of the
fall rally that she and other
Institute members had attended
that day at Centralia Agriculture
al College.
Plans were made.for attending
other branch W.I. meeting to
which they had received invitat-
ions, and also hosting the Huron
County Historical Society on
October 17, in the Hay Town-
ship Hall.

plan bazaar
The Ladies Auxiliary of the
Blue Water Rest Home entert-
ained the residents at their
regular meeting on Wednesday,
October 3. Mrs. Leonard Erb
convened the program, and Mrs
Stewart Steckle assisted as
pianist.
A poem, "As times goes on, "
was given by Mrs. Claude Gel-
inas. A reading, "Thanksgiving"
was read by Mrs. Leonard Erb.
A sing song and familiar
hymns on the piano were enjoy-
ed.
The president, Mrs, Brisson,
conducted the short business
meeting. The fall bazaar and
tea is dated for November 24.
Auxiliary members are to cont-
ribute an item for the bazaar
at the November 7th meeting.
The donation of a sound syst-
ern to the Home by the Auxil-
iary was recently installed. It
was appreciated and was a great
help to the program.

Married in Emmanuel Church
CORRIVEAU - ERB
Emmanuel United Church,
Zurich, was decorated with pink
gladioli and carnations for the
wedding of Susan Dianne Erb
and Paul Richard Corriveau,
September 15, 1973 at 3 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Emmerson Erb,
of Goderich, and the groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Napol-
eon Corriveau, of Zurich.
Rev Bruce Guy, conducted
the ceremony with music by
Mary Ann O'Rourke, accomp-
anied by soloist Mary Ann Serg-
eren, who sang "We've Only
Just Begun, " and the "Wedding
Song."
Given in marriage by her
father the bride wore a floor
length gown of French crepe
with an overskirt of delicate
Peau de Soie, stand-up collar,
and fitted bodice of chantilly
lace. The sleeves draped to
fullness at the wrists. Her floral
headpiece of full length French
illusion veiling was trimmed
with 'chantilly lace. She carried
a bouquet of pink roses, white
carnations, and lily -of -the -
valley

oner, of Goderich, Donna
Schilbe, of Zurich. Flower girl
was Joanne McKinley, Zurich,
neice of the bride and ringbear-
er, Terry A. Erb, nephew of
the bride, The bridesmaids
and flower girl were gowned
identical to the maid of honour
and they all carried bouquets
of pink and purple carnations,
daisies and baby's breath.
Best man was Richard Schilbe,
Zurich, while Ron Corriveau,
brother of the groom, and Al
Erb, brother of the bride ushered

Fisher and Mrs. Harold Deich-
ert and Mrs. Charles Kalbfleisch
were in charge of the October
meeting of the Lutheran Church
Women,
A "Thanksgiving Theme" was
used as their topic. Fall veget-
ables fruits and flowers helped
decorate the basement for the
meeting. Mrs. C. Deichert
president, presided for the bus-
iness meeting. Mrs. A. Fink-
beiner spoke briefly about the
annual Waterloo Lutheran Un-
iversity Auxiliary meeting she
attended in Waterloo.
An offering for the "Fellow-
ship of the Least Coin" was
received at the close of the
meeting.

Arena, the bride's mother rec-
eived guests wearing a pink
crimplene gown with short
sleeves, and sequence decorat-
ing the front and wore a corsage
of purple carnations. The
groom's mother assisted wearing
a blue crimplene gown with
floral bodice and long sleeves.
Her corsage was pink carnations.
For a wedding trip to Pennsyl-
vania, the bride changed to a
navy floral dress with a smoked
bodice and white collar.
The groom is employed at the
Regional Assessment Office,
Goderich, and the bride at the
Land Registry Office, Goderich.
The young couple will reside
at 146 East Street, Goderich.
