REDDOCH - OLTMAN
Exchanging marriage vows
recently at the Kincardine Unit-
ed Church were Mary Luise Olt -
man, daughter of William and
Charlotte Oltman of Kincardine
and Dr. Allen Reddoch, son of
Rev. and Mrs. James Reddoch,
of Bayfield. Rev. James Red-
doch officiated at the ceremony,
Organ music was provided by
Mrs. Strapp and Ron Neyvatte
played a trumpet solo. The
bride was given in marriage
by her father and her attendants
were her sister, Ursula Oltman,
who was maid of honour and a
neice, Cindy Buchanan was the
flowergirl.
Graham Reddoch, brother of
the groom, was groomsman and
Bob Busch and Ken Rhodes were
ushers. The reception fol lowed
the ceremony at Sutton Park
Inn, with Dwight Moulin acting
as master of ceremonies.
The couple are residing in
Scarborough, where the groom,
a graduate of University of
Western Ontario Medical School,
will serve internship at Scarbor-
ough General Hospital. The
bride, also a graduate of West-
ern with Honours B.A. in Psych-
ology, has worked for the past
year as a psychometrist at the
Goderich Psychiatric Hospital.
SENIOR CITIZENS
The September meeting of
the Senior Citizens was held
Friday evening September 7,
in the municipal building with
22 members present. Presided
over by the President, Clair
Merner, the meeting opened
with the National Anthem and
the Lord's Prayer in unison.
The secretary was absent so tic
minutes of the previous meeting
were read. Questions were ask-
ed about the Senior Citizens
Housing Project and the presid-
ent reported he had spoken to
the reeve and found he had
contacted Toronto who was
sending up a man to look over
some land he knew might be
available; the whereabouts no
one present seemed to know,
but supposedly situated in the
village.
The president also said he had
turned in an estimate to New
Horizons Project, following a
meeting he had called, on what
was decided the group would
require, The main floor and
kitchen of the old Town Hall
are available.
It was moved and passed that
Carrie Heard be given money
to carry on her work sending
cards, flowers and fruit when
necessary. Dorothy Merner
moved a vote of thanks for what
she had done and for looking
after euchre cards and prizes.
Happy September birthday
wishes were sung to Mrs. Duggar.
Moved by Mrs. Blair and second-
ed by Mr. Mac Farland that the
meeting adjourn.
. Future meetings will being
at 7:30 p.m. rather than 8;00
o'clock as they had previously
been doing. Euchre followed
with winners being, Mrs. Freda
Scotchmer, Mrs. Florence Browr.
Ken Lynn and Lloyd Makins.
The usual lovely lunch was
enjoyed and all agreed that due

lunch for herself or herself and
her husband.
Members of the Bayfield Lions
Club reported that they had
purchased two additional kiddies
rides, and while situated in
the fair grounds following the
Old Time Country Fair, Satur-
day, September 1, vandals had
done considerable damage to the
rides. The 0.P. P. have been
notified and are investigating,
and should the culprits be caught
charges will be laid,
Word has also reached our ears
that young teenagers are smash-
ing glass bottles on the roadway
at the corner of West Howard
Street and Clan Gregor Square,
and several persons are compl-
aining about flat tires.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred LeBeau
had as their guests for the week-
end their grandchildren, Rob anc
Tara Cluff, of London.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lindsay
recently enjoyed a holiday in
Northern Ontario and Algonquin
Park.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Long-
field and Patsy of Burlington
were Saturday visitors with Mrs.
Margaret Garrett and family.
Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Higgins
have recently returned from a
vacation at Lake of Bays where
they visited with Mrs. Del
Massecar; then to Haliburton
for a few days with their aunt,
Mrs. G.M. Chesney; then on to
Port Dover for several days with
their sonand daughter-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Higgins
and grandsons, Colin and Scott.
Best wishes to Mrs. Ed Reid,
who had the misfortune to break
her arta near her wrist on Thurs-
day.
Robert Parker and David, Dor-
chester, visited on Friday with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. 13i11
Parker, Saturday guests with
them were their son and daught-
er-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W,C.
Parker and Jennifer, of London.
Mrs. Alice Cardiff, Toronto,
was a registered guest at the
Albion hotel for the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome 13edara
and Stephen of Brantford, spent
the weekend with his sister, Mr.
and Mrs. John Wild and family,
R.R.3, Bayfield,
Rick Westlake was at the
home of his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Lloyd Westlake for a few
days, prior to entering his sec-
ond year in an Electronics Cours,
at Conestoga College, Kitchen-
er,

Mrs. Doris (Hugh) McLeod
of Kingsville was a weekend
guest of Mr. and Mrs. Donald
McLeod, Dawn and John.
The Erickson family had a
most enjoyable past week when
their daughter Sandra and Bruce
Crump, of Key West, Florida,
visited with them.
Miss Wendy Greer, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Greer,
R.R.3, Bayfield, has returned to
Waterloo Lutheran University
to further her studies. She is
majoring in psychology and
music.
A small boy in a department
store was standing near the
escalator watching the moving
handrail. "Something wrong,
Son?" inquired a clerk.
"Nope," replied the boy, "Just
waiting for my chewing gum to
come back"
