Mrs. Fred Schroeder, her daughter, Mss. Heidi Smith, and two children have returned Letter to editor Zurich, Ontario, August 21, 1972 Zurich Citizens News, Zurich, Ontario. Dear Editor, During the last few weeks in our town there has been a number of children stopped on the streets between the hours of 10 and 11 p.m. , (usually on their way home from the roller skating arena), by the O.P.P. The officer tells the children that they should be at home, as there is a curfew of 10 p.m. and anyone under the age of 16 years are not to be on the streets after that hour. It seems to be a very embar- rassing thing for the children as they are not aware of any curfew in our village. Is such a curfew exists, why have we not been advised? I am sure if this is a by-law most interested parents would see that their children would be at home by 10 p.m., or would make arrangements to pick them up. This question- ing seems to be upsetting many parents as well as the children, and I feel that the Officers could be a little more informative as to why they are stopping these children. Perhaps an explanation should be forthcoming. A Concerned Parent. home from a four week visit to Germany. They visited Mrs. Schroeder's four sisters in East Germany and one in West Germ- any.
