family, -Cornelius Roobal, and
Sim Roobal, motored to Niagara
Falls for a sight seeing tour
Tuesday and Wednesday of this
week,
A goodly crowd attended
Hensall United Church for the
morning service on Sunday
morning. Rev. Don Beck preach-
ed on the sermon topic "Why."
The musical contribution to the
• service was provided by John,
Beatrice, Mary and Bruce,
family of Mr. and Mrs. Bert
Thompson. John Accompanied
on the guitar while Mary,
Beatrice and Bruce sang. The
flowers in the church were plac-
ed there from the Wolfe -Kyle
wedding.
CELEBRATE ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Sim Roobal
celebrated their 40th wedding
anniversary recently by having
a dinner in the Fellowship Hall
of 1Iensell United Church.
Thirty-six relatives and friends
were present front Woodstock,
Ridgetown, Goderich, Seaforth,
Brucefield, Exeter and Hensall.
The happy couple received
many beautiful gifts. Very
special guest for the event was
Mr. Roobal's brother, Cornel-
ius Roobal, of Holland. Several
congratulatory telephone calls
were received from Holland
during the day.

MRS, EMMA SHEPHERD
At the Blue Water Rest glome,
Zurich, on Sunday, August 19,
1973, the former Emma J. Dick-
son of Ilensall passed away in
her 91st year.
She was the beloved wife of
the. late John Shepherd.
Surviving are two stepsons,
Clarence and Ilarold Shepherd
of Toronto, and two heices,
Mrs. Bill (Mona) Finch, and
ZURICH CITIZENS NEWS
Mrs, Morley (Helen) Sanders,
both of Grand Bend.
The late Mrs. Shepherd rested
at the Bontltron Funeral Home
in Hensall where a private fun-
eral service was held on August
21, with Rev. Don Beck officiat-
ing. Interment in McTaggarts
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Fred Sanders,
Ted Sanders, 13(11 Finch, Jeff
Finch, Bill Gibbs and Jack Con-
sitt.
FRED BEER
At his late residence on Sun-
day, August 19, 1973, Frederick
Charles Beer passed away in his
76th year.
Ile was the beloved husband
of the former Hilda Blogg, and
dear father of George of Ilensall,
John of CFB Borden, aucl Mrs.
(Elaine) Ralph McArthur of Ed-
monton. Also surviving are
eight grandchildren.
The late Mr. Beer rested at
the Bonthron Funeral Chapel in
Ilensall where funeral service
was held August 21, at 3 p.m.
with Rev. Don Beck officiating.
Interment in Ilensall Union
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ron Mock,
Jim Taylor, Dave Sangster,
Wilmer I)alryntple, .lack Sim-
mons and Al Scholl,

MARRIED IN 1IENSALL - Nancy Louisa l< yle, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs.,David Kyle of Ilensall, was united in marriage to
James Max Wolfe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Blake Wolfe of Strafford-
ville. The quiet ceremony, performed by Rev. Donald Beck,
took place in Hensall United Church on Saturday, August 18.
Following a honeymoon to Anriqua, the young couple will reside
in Tillsonburg.
