Lodge, Strathroy, visited with
the former's brother, Wilbert
Dilling on Friday.
Cornelius Roobal, Oud-Beyer-
land, Holland, arrived Tuesday
of this week to spend a few
weeks with his brother and wife,
Mr. and Mrs. Sim Roobal, and
Mr. and Mrs. Don Dodds of
Seaforth.
Major and Mrs. Robert Grah-
am, David and Kathryn, King-
ston, spent the holiday weekend
with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Love.
Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Orr
motored to Lucknow on Sunday
and attended the Home -coming
service of the 100th anniversary
of the Lucknow Presbyterian
Church. Rev. William Hender-
son of Woodstock was the guest
speaker. While there, they
visited with Mrs. May McKen-
drick, and Mr. and Mrs. Don
Cameron of Lucknow, and Mrs.
Jean Aitchison, of Wingham.
Many old acquaintances were
renewed at this time.
Services again resumed Sun-
day morning in Hensall United
The residents were favoured
with a second visit this month
of the congregation of the Clin-
ton Christian Reform Church as
there were five Sundays in July.
Aire Van Der Ende led the song
service assisted by Robert De -
Moor, a student minister of the
church.
The "Opportunity for Youth"
group, "The Band," played

their concert in the auditorium
on Monday. During the program,
Happy Birthday was played for
those celebrating birthdays dur-
ing the week which included
Mrs. Bailey who will be 93.
Five new residents were welcom-
ed to the Home, Miss Gilkinson,
Miss Bush, Mrs. Coo, Leo Eve -
land and Henry Godkinson.
An event which is looked for-
ward to each summer by all of
the residents took place on
"Family Night" with the Brussels
Legion Pipe Band providing a
concert. The band under the
direction of Tom McFarlane
used the circle driveway and
front parking lot as a parade
square so that everyone had the
advantage of both seeing and
hearing the music. There were
two special numbers during the
evening, a highland dance and
a bagpipe duet.

Church with Rev. Don Beck
occupying the pulpit and preach-
ing on the sermon topic "Touch
and you will feel." Harry Hort-
on sang a very lovely solo with
Mrs. Turkheim accompanying
on the organ. The Presbyterian
and United congregations are
worshipping together this month
in the United Church. The
flowers were placed hi the
church from the Dalton -Parker
wedding.

Kippen news
The curators meeting of
Kippen East Women's Institute
will be held on August 15, at
1:30 p. m. at the Goderich Mus-
eum. Roll call will be, "A job
my Grandmother had that I
don't." Mrs. Charles Eyre will
give the motto and Mrs. J. Sin-
clair will be in charge of lunch.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Littleton
are holidaying on the east coast.
Mr, and Mrs. Edgar McBride
spent the holiday in Sault Ste.
Marie with their daughter and
son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Steve
Pine.
