INTERESTING HAPPENINGS IN ONTARIO'S PRETTIEST VILLAGE
WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Boyce,
Goshen Line, celebrated their
49th wedding anniversary on
Sunday, when members of their
family gathered at their home
for a surprise barbecue.
Mr, and Mrs. Boyce were mar
ried at the Presbyterian Church
Manse, on July 19, 1924,
by the Rev. F.W.K. Harris , in
London, Ontario. The couple
were raised and educators on
the Goshen Line and following
their marriage they took up
farming on the Goshen Line
where they still reside.
They have a family of three
daughters, Viola, Mrs. Haskell,
of Hanover; Grace, Mrs. Tom
Young, of Goderich and Mary,
Mrs. Don Garner, of Vanastra;
also five sons, Harvey, London;
Jim, Bayfield; Clayton, Goder-
ich; Ken, Goshen Line and Har-
old at home. They have twenty
grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren. Many friends
relatives and neighbours called
to offer congratulations; among
them was Mr. William Pollock
of Saskatchewan, a former
neighbour. The couple were the
recipients of many lovely gifts
from their family and friends.
Both are in good health and
enjoy life to it's fullest. Mrs.
Boyce will be remembered by
many readers for her musical
ability, as she along with her
brother John, played the piano
for dances even before her mar-
riage; and up until just a few
years ago was still active in
that respect.
May we add our congratulat-
