MEDITATION; "Blessed is the
man that walketh not in the
counsel of the ungodly nor stan-
deth in the way of sinners, nor
sitteth in the seat of the scorn-
ful.
But, his delight and meditation
is in the love of the Lord.

Golden Glimpses
No doubt some of you are
looking around trying to find
a cool spot, or perhaps are
lucky eixou r -be relaxing
somewhere a the beach. How-
ever, life goes on usual here.
Mrs. Jennetta Fintligan ret-
urned from a pleasaidt visit in
Barrie with her fan14,1y, Mrs.
Hannah Talbot enjoyed a few
days in Brantford with her laugh•
ter, and a number of residents
have been enjoying short visits
with friends on weekends. We
are pleased to report that Mrs.
Ings has returned from Seaforth
Hospital, but Mr. Chester
Smith is still a patient in South
Huron Hospital, Exeter.
On Wednesday afternoon,
"The Band, " a youth group
sponsored by the Federal Govern•
meet, entertained the residents
on the lawn to a program of
band music. Music was chosen
which was familiar to the age
of our residents, making listen-
ing pleasant for them. This
group will be back on two more
occasions, August 1 and August
29 for afternoon presentations,
On Thursday afternoon a bus
ride was enjoyed touring around
the countryside,
The Blue Water Rest Home
bus and as many residents as it
would accommodate, took part
in the Exeter Centennial parade
on Thursday evening. Most of
our residents participating were
former Exeter citizens which
made the trip doubly enjoyable.
On Friday evening, bingo was
enjoyed followed by refresh-
ments.
For the next two weeks Mr.
and Mrs. Risi and family will
be away enjoying a vacating.
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Rev.
Andrew Blackwell, of St. Peter';
Lutheran Church, Zurich.

When you go off hiking in
the woods this summer, watcxi
out for low hanging branches.
Cut eyes can lead to permanent
damage, warns the Canadian
National Institute for the Blind,
And, before you let that branch
swing back, make sure no one
is behind you. Don't let need-
less accidents ruin your fun.
