Fifty three students at South
Huron District High School will
receive their secondary school
diplomas having completed
their five-year course.

Top price
The championship calf in the
finish division at last Tuesday's
Hensall Spring Fair brought a
record price of 75 cents per'
pound,'
Robert McGregor, 12 year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant
McGregor of the Kippen area
was the proud owner of the calf
judged best for finish among 59
entries.
The calf was purchased by
Fred Darling for Darling's IGA
stores in Exeter. It weighted
730 pounds. The reserve champ-
ion calf was shown by Mike
Binnendyk, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Binnendyk, R.R,2,
Kippen.
Mike Binnendyk's reserve
champ calf weighed 845 pounds
and went to Russ Goldstein of
Al's Market in Hensall for 65
cents per pound.
The other calves in the top
eight were owned by Hugh Ryan,
Jane Willert, Brian Wilson,
John Binnendyk, Wayne Shapton
and Mary Jane McGregor.
Bevan Kinsman was named
the senior and overall champion
showman, Second in the senior
division was Les Coleman while
the junior winners were John
Binnendyk and David Townsend.
Runners-up in the junior
showman class were Mike
Binnendyk, David Rundle,
Murray Stewart, Pam Carnoch-
an. Donna Stewart and Paul
for calves
Stewart.
Placing next in line in the
senior section were Brian Wil-
son, Beth Passmore, Tom Ryan,
Brad Carnochan, Dwight Kins-
man and Brian Pym.
Police report
are accidents
A Zurich man, James Bridle,
30, escaped with bruises when
his car rolled over on Highway
No. 84 just east of Highway 21,
Friday night at 11:20 p.m. Dam-
age was estimated at $850 by
Constable Bill Lewis.
O.P.P. officers also investig-
ated two other collisions during
the week. Damage of $325.
resulted from a two car collision
on Nova Scotia Ave., Friday at
3:25 p.m. investigated by Con-
stable Bill Glassford. Drivers
Arlene Wood, R. R. 3, Dashwood,
and Arlette Eisenchink, Exeter.
Cars driven by Lori Ann Em-
mett, of London and Darryl
Cunningham, of 1•luron Park
collided on the Crediton Road
at 1115 p.m. Constable Bob
Whiteford listed damage at
$100.
A break and enter is being
investigated by Constable Bill
Glassford at Hughes Boats,Fluron
Park. Tools and lumber valued
at $5'74. were taken. The theft
was reported on June 18.
