Obituary
JASON A, W. BROKENSHIRE
Jason Allan Witney, the 25 -
day old son of Mr. and Mrs.
Allan Brokenshire, Zurich, pass-
ed away at the Hospital for Sick
Children, Toronto, on Saturday,
June 23.
Surviving besides his parents
are one sister, Jodi, and grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Logan
Cleave, Bayfield, and Mr, and
Mrs. Lorne Klapp, Zurich.
The body rested at the West-
lake funeral home, Zurich,
where the service took place
on Monday, June 25, at 2 p. m.
Interment was in St. Peter's
Lutheran Cemetery, Goshen
Line, Rev. A. C, Blackwell
officiated.
The birds are moulting. If only
man could moult also — his mind

The Ontario Federation of
Agriculture president Gordon
Hill appeared before a commit-
tee of the Legislature examin-
ing Mr. White's bills to plan
land use in the province. Mr.
Hill asked the Government to
provide for compensation to
farmers whose lands drop in
value because of land -use plan-
ning. Treasurer John White said
they aren't likely to get it.
Mr. Hill stressed the fact that
there should be compensation

Adjournment of the House
for the summer recess came in
time for a week-long visit of
Queen Elizabeth which begins
Monday. Members of the Ontario
Legislature will attend a wel-
coming ceremony for the Queen
on Tuesday morning to be foll-
owed by a State dinner on
Tuesday evening. Members and
their wives are requested to be
present at a special screening
of the Ontario -produced film
"Catch the Sun, " at Cinesphere
in Ontario Place on Monday
afternoon. The Royal Party will
be in attendance at the showing.
The House having wound up it
bitter session, with 180 bills
being debated during the three
month sitting, marks the end of
Jack's Jottings until the legislat-
ure resumes sittings October 2.
At this time I will be back to
bring you the proceedings of the
legislature as they occur week
by week.
I would like to take this opp-
ortunity to wish you all Avery
pleasant summer and a most
enjoyable holiday. Even though
the Legislature is not sitting
I will be available to discuss
any problems that you may en-
counter over the summer months

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
to all persons in possession of lands in the
Villages of Bayfield and Brussels, in the
County of Huron; also property owners
in the Townships of Ashfield, Colborne,
Goderich„ Grey, Hay, Howick, Hullett,
McKillop, Morris, Stanley, Tuckersmith,
Usborne, East Wawanosh and West Wa-
wanosh, in the County of Huron; also
property owners in the Towns of Clinton,
Exeter, Goderich and Winghani, in the
County of Huron.
In accordance with the Revised Weed Control
Act, 1972, Section 4, 14 and 20 and amendments
thereto, that unless noxious weeds growing on
their lands are destroyed by July 20th and
throughout the season, the Municipality may
enter upon the said lands and have the weeds
destroyed, charging the costs against the land
in taxes, as set out in the Act.
The co-operation of all citizens is solicited.
