Group IV with Mrs. Rosaleen Schenk, convenor, was responsible for the program and lunch. A varied program was presented. The Junior choir sang two numbers. Piano solos were played by Elizabeth Datars, Jayne Hayter, Sandra Schroeder, Barbara Rader. Sue Anne Sch- roeder played the guitar and sang as well as she and her sister Sue Anne singing a duet. Dianne and Vicki Miller played a duet. Lisa Miller sang a solo, accompanied by her mother, Mrs, Vesta Miller. Mrs. Mary Anne Desjardine sang two solos. Carol Rader played the accord- ews (continued from page 14) oved. Several thank -you notes were received and moved for filing. Treasurer Mrs. Lorna Merrier gave her report showing a good balance. The report was adopted and all outstanding bills were to be paid. Flowers and a card were sent to Mrs. Margaret Lynn in God- erich. General Hospital, recover- ing from surgery. Birthday money was paid by Mrs. Vina Parker, Mrs. Ruby Fitzsimons, Mrs. Mary Clark and Mrs. L. W. Scotchrner. Ir was decided to pay the full year's cost of our foreign child and for our next meeting we hope to have more information about her. Sale of tickets on our beaut- iful butterfly quilt are going well and all stubs are to be in the hands of the president by July 14. ayfield Housecleaning of the Parish Hall will be completed in the fall. Mrs. George Brown will host the September meeting. The meeting closed by the Re, tor and a wonderful pot -luck supper was enjoyed on the patio. CARL DIEHL Carl Diehl passed away in his sleep in Bayfield, Monday, June 18, in his 80th year. He was the husband of Lucy (Woods) 'Diehl. Resting at the Ball funeral home, Clinton, thence to Trin- ity Anglican Church, Bayfield, for service at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, conducted by the Rect- or, Rev. G. Youmatoff, assisted by Rev. H.J.E. Crosby of Moore. town. Loyal Orange Lodge, Varna, service was held at 9 p.m, on Wednesday, June 20, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Bayfield Cemetery. The bill provides for a limited number of area municipalities and a regional council consisting of the mayors of each area mun- icipality and additional memb- ers from each area depending on population size. The chair- man of the council will be app- ointed for the initial term of three years by the Province and elected by the council for its subsequent two-year terms. Premier Davis, replying to a series of questions on wage and price controls, told the Ontario Legislature that he would not object to controls being put on mortgage rates, but said any other controls should be of a national nature. He said it would be difficult to separate any controls on energy from a wage and price control package and that such controls should come from the Federal Government.
