The meeting was opened by leader Mildred Merrill and the Devotional part was taken by Charlene Porter and Dawna Westlake. President Carol Penhale took a portion of the Study Book on India dealing with marriage traditions, Sec- retary Marilyn Haw read the minutes and roll call and treas- urer Margaret Scotchmer gave her report. Discussion on the chicken barbecue to be held on Saturday, June 30 followed. It was decided to send $25 to the Huron Church Camp, Camp Menesetung, Members were reminded of the auction sale sponsored by the Board of Stew- ards being held in the Commun- ity Centre on July 7. Anyone wishing to donate or consign are asked to contact Don Haw or Don Campbell. Thank -you notes were read from several people. The meeting closed in due form and lunch was served by the Ladies in charge. Some 20 young people, boys and girls, from Sir George Ross School, in London, thoroughly enjoyed a camp -out in Rainbow Valley Camp along the Bayfield River last week, Along with thei teacher, Bill Dundas and three other volunteer teachers, they swam, fished and enjoyed nat- ure to it's fullest. The students are part of a class attending a two year junior Vocational School and during the winter months had raised $1000. by holding a Fun Fair and pop bottle drive. The Rotary Club and North London Kiwanis Club met their objective dollar for dollar, which enabled these students to have a holiday; and H.K. Brandon had donated the use of his Camp grounds. This was one of several camp -outs held along Lake Huron last week and supervised by volun- teer teachers from the school. Mr. Dundas said in this out of class setting, all tension was gone and all were equals; the Fled@''' i and students did the cooking and fried Rainbow trout they had caught in the Bayfield River at their campsite; and he had en- countered no problems with his mixed group of students. The only cost to the London Board of Education was the buses used to transport the students, and the young people are already making plans to raise money this winter to return for a holi- day next season. At the Board of Management meeting held Wednesday even- ing, June 13 in the Trinity Church Parish Hall, it was dec- ided to table the coat rack for the back of the church and the previously discussed hand rail at the organ, until the meeting in September. The Rector announced that a Deanery Dance and Smorgasbord will be held in Wingham on September 28 at $4. each and theproceeds to go to the Dioce- san Hunger Fund; also Iluron Church Camp, south of Bayfield have sent out an appeal for teen-age boys for one or two weeks to act as Camp Counsell- ors, as they are short of boys for the summer camping season. A summer motion was passed, authorizing the Rector, Rev. Youmatoff, Rector's Warden, Mr. Harry Baker and treasurer, Mrs. Greta DuBoulay to have the power to run without refer- ence to the Board of Manage- ment to make any out of the ordinary payments until the• next meeting set for September 4. Mr. Harry Baker was given the power to contact a contractor to check the stained glass wind- ows in the church, and have all necessary repairs done. A cost of living bonus of $200 for 1973 was passed to be paid to the Rector by July 1. The Parish list is to be brought up to date, and when completed will be posted in the church. Marie, Mich. , Mrs. Anne Stirling and Miss Evelyn Willison, Kelowna, B.C.; and Mrs. Margaret Scotchmer, Bay- field. Relatives were present from Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., Pickford, Mich., DeTour Vill- age, Mich., Hessel, Mich. , Rudyard, Mich, Garden City, Mich, Flat Rock Mich., Prophet stown, Ill., Toronto, Baden, Camlachie, Pt. Edward, London Goderich, Clinton and Bayfield. Guests viewed with much pleas- ure the family photos taken many years ago. TRINITY LADIES GUILD The June meeting of Trinity Church Ladies Guild was held at the beautiful home on Lake Huron of Mrs. Ruth Mutzelburg, Tuesday afternoon, June 12, at 4 p.m. Presided over by the president, Mrs. Vitra Parker; who express- ed our sincere thanks to Ruth for her kind hospitality and to see her home in it's lovely wood- land setting.
