Kennedy, of Huron Vista. At the United Church, a christ- ening ceremony was held for, Brent Charles Love, son of Mr, and Mrs. Jerry Love; Susan Margaret, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ratz, Shipka; Brent Stewart MacLean, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Hamilton, Goderich; Connie Lynn Russell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Russell. Mrs. Susie Devine had Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Tetreau from Port Huron visiting for a few days, At the Anglican Church morning service the Synod Dele- gate who was Mrs. C. W, Neil- son, gave a comprehensive rep- ort on the activities and resolut- ions by synod for the Diocese of Huron, held last week in London, for three days. One of the highlights is; "If you are concerned about the morals, ethics, and religious education in the Ontario Public School System: write a personal letter to the Hon. Thos. L. The score was 4-1 for Goderich, It was a good performance for the first time together, for the team, Grand Bend Mosquitos hosted Goderich with a winning score of 4-3. Their coach was Paul Runalls, of Grand Bend. The games are played on the field behind the Legion Hall. Since the closing of the Univ- ersity term, Elizabeth Kennedy has been working at a children's camp on Clear Lake, Indiana. She has received word that she was awarded her Bachelor of Arts frbm the University of Waterloo. Mrs. Olive Miller and Mrs. Jeanne Kading spent the week - MRS. BERTHA HAYTER A resident of the Blue Water Rest Home for the past few years Mrs. Bertha Hayter, of Dash- wood passed away at the home on Sunday, June 3, in her 86th year. The former Bertha Willert, she was the widow of the late Robert Hayter. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Theada) Bruce, Windsor; Mrs. John (Reta) Sny- der, Brantford; Mrs. James (Grace) Beavis, Detroit; Mrs. Earle (Dorothy) Vandahl, Mont- real; three sons, harry, Dash- wood; James, Goderich, and Robert, Dashwood; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Isaac, Parkhill, and Mrs. Pears Statton, Toronto. There are also 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The body rested at the T. Harry Hoffman funeral home, Dashwood, until Wednesday noon, then at Zion Lutheran Church, Dashwood, where the service was held at 2 p.m. Interment was made in the Ex- eter Cemetery. Rev. F. Mr. and Mrs, C. Kennedy attended the one hundred twenty-fifth anniversary church service of Carmel Presbyterian Church at Hensall last Sunday. The sympathy of the commun- ity is extended to Mr. and.
