Glavin, 11,12.2, Crediton. Rev. Father Hayes officiated for the double -ring ceremony. Wedding music was played by organist Mrs. Stephen Meiding- er and sung by Sr. Boniface School Choir. Given in marriage by her father the bride looked lovely in a formal length gown of legoda and Guipure lace with high neckline and long full sleeves with tight fitting cuffs. Guipure lace and lavender satin ribbon trimmed the bodice, neckline and down the sleeves. A band of Guipure 1,ace and ribbon encircled the empire waist. She wore pink carnations blue and mauve stephanitis and white shasta daisies in her hair. She carried a cascade of pink sweetheart roses, white shasta daisies and blue steph- anitis encircled with a mauve orchid. Matron of honour, Mrs. John Zarzeczny was gowned in a floor length gown of mauve printed flocked sheer. The bodice of white cotton is bibbed with Swiss Guipure lace trim interwoven with matching fab- ric from the skirt. This same lace adorns the collar and cuffs. The skirt is A-line in front and gathered slightly at the back. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink carnations and white shasta daisies trimmed with mauve ribbon. The bridesmaids, Mrs. Glenn llodgins and junior bridesmaid, Miss Janet Oesch, both sisters of - the bride were gowned the sante in matching print of blue. They carried cascades of pink carn- ations and white shasta daisies trimmed with blue ribbon. They all wore pink carnations with mauve and blue ribbon in their hair. Dan McCann was best man and Don Glavin and Glenn 1-lodgins ushered the guests. A wedding reception and dance was held in the Dashwood Community Centre, The bride's mother received guests in a sleeveless hot pink polyester dress accented with white bodice and deep pleat in front of the skirt, white acces- sories and a corsage of white dkisies with powder blue carn- ations and ribbon. The groom's mother chose a mauve lace coat dress ensemble, white accessories and a corsage of daisies with yellow carnations and ribbon. For a honeymoon to the Bahama Islands, rhe bride don- ned a navy polyester dress with long sleeves, long white cest with navy fleck, navy accessor- ies and a red carnation corsage. On their return the couple will reside at R.R.2, Crediton. Prior to the welding Mary was honoured at a miscellaneous shower given by the maid of honour and bridesmaids. Anoth- er miscellaneous shower was given by the Goshen Ladies. 0 oy J ,° ell show Various projects of the Aus- able-Bayfield Conservation Authority will be viewed and discussed on the Roy Jewell Earn' Show, Sunday, May 27 on CFPL TV, London. Mr. Jewell and his film crew recently toured the watershed with several members of the municipalities discussing the history and future projects of the Authority. Some of the areas visited were Morrison Dam, Rock Glen Conservation Area, and Parkhill Conservation Area. The Authority's tree spade was dem- onstrated at the latter area. Scripture was read by Mrs. Brian Lempiere from John 20. Mrs. Bob Peck brought to the attention of the group an article in the Observer about 2000 visitors from India who want to stay in Canada but are being deported, Mrs, John Robinson then showed two flints "The Plain of the Ganges" and "India the People" as well as some slides of village life. She hoped to show why these Indians would prefer Canada to their own country. Mrs. Floyd Armstrong read a letter from Dr. McClure, tell- ing a little of life in India. The religions of India were then discussed by Mrs, John Robinson. She commented on the fact that only two percent of the Indian population were Christians. The beliefs of the Hindu religion were explained. Mrs. Howard Armstrong read a comment by Nehru about Ch- ristianity and discussed Indian Yoga. She also answered the question "what should the churcl be doing in India': The pamph- let "An Indian look at the Christian Church in India" was read by Mrs. Brian Lempiere, Mrs. John Robinson read a poem "The Cross is Lifted". A hymn was sung and Mrs, Floyd Armstrong closed with a prayer. Business was then conducted by Mrs. John Robinson. Minutes were read and approved. Eigh- teen members answered the roll call by a word or sentence connected with India. The off- ering was Taken and cards were read from Steve Keys and Shar- on Keys. Mrs. Elgin McKinley thanked the ladies for serving at the supper. The bale will be packed ou Wednesday, May 28, at the church, and sent to London Res- cue Mission.
