Uri. in with V INNEINEIRIEMINIONIENIMINENTIMINI Golden Glimpses e o 0 0 Another week has sped by and almost another month, and we are still hoping for the spring like weather we had away back in March. The frosted up wind- shields and windows would have been acceptable in March, but it is a little toomuch to have to contend with almost the end of May. The evenings are getting long- er now, and if anyone in the area would like to bring in some entertainment for the residents in the evenings, it would be appreciated very much. Call the office and we will be pleas- ed to make arrangements for you. Since Tuesday afternoon was SHORT just about the only sunny after- noon last week, a bus trip was arranged for the residents. The tour covered the area along the lake to Bayfield, over to Varna and Brucefield, Clinton, Seaforth, Exeter, Dashwood and back home. It was interesting to listen to the comments foll- owing the trip concerning farm lands, gardents, etc. , coming from old experienced farmers and gardeners. The only problen seemed to be that we had more residents anxious to go out than we had seats in the bus to ac- commodate them. On Tuesday evening, the children from the Gospel Hall Sunday School, Grand Bend, PAGE 9 entertained the residents to an evening of music. Miss Lewis, Graft Supervisor, Department of Social and Family Services, Toronto, visited the Home on Wednesday and spent some time in the Hobby Shop . According to reports, I believe we have more interest here than some of the larger neighboring homes. On Friday evening bingo was played followed by refreshments, Perhaps you had better circle the calendar for this Saturday, May 26, our annual May Day Tea. While you are sitting in the dining room enjoying your cup 'of tea, take note of the pretty umbrella suspended from the ceiling. The residents worked very hard one afternoon making rosettes to help the Auxiliary with the decoration. There will be two lovely door prizes to be given away follow- ing the tea. See you there? The Sunday evening Chapel Service was conducted by Rev. Douglas Warren of Crediton United Church. During the serv- ice he also presided at the organ and accompanied the quartette consisting of Mrs, Warren, Mrs. Fydenchuk, Miss Morlock and Mrs. Finkbeiner who rendered special music. aV4s Vq is Rib Roasts LB 89 Chuck Steaks LB 99c BONELESS Boston Steak LB$1 LAZY MAPLE READY -TO -EAT Hams WHOLE or HALF LB verOy FAMILY PACK LOIN Pork Chops 99' COUNTRY STYLE 59' '1.3 Chicken BONELESS DE LUXE Beef Ribs RIN DLESS Epicur Buco LB Hot Barbe::ued e SUNDAY ONLY 099 FLORIDA NO 1 Vine Ripe FLORIDA - 5 LB BAC ORANGES 65 MAXWELL 1-IOUSE 10 OZ JAR MONDAY TO SATURDAY ® ates FLORIDA WHITE or PINK GRAPEFRUIT 48's 6/6i SIZE Instant Coffee $1.89 Paper Plates 9100'sZE- 89( COKE & PEPSI Canned Pop 6/790 MIR LIQUID 24 OZ BOTTLES Detergent 2/79( STUART HOUSE 18 x 25 73( 3/$1 Barbecue Foil LARGE SIZE 26 x 36 Garb ge Bags Lb U, S, NO, 1 CABBAGE 14( LB IRISH or BEEF 40 OZ TIN Schneider's Stew 99( SMOKED or CHEESE Schneider's Snack 59( KING SIZE Bold Detergent $1.79 Effort Bleach 1280z 73( HEINZ 13 OZ TIN Barbecue Sauce 3/$1 SILVERWOOD'S DE LUXE VANILLA 1/2 GAL Ice Cream !ltstiVE'Mt'RIGHT $Q.:LIMIT :.QQANYffin STORE HOURS Monday till Thursday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday 8 a, m, to 9 p.m. Saturday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. THE TENDER SPOT PHONE 238-2512 — GRAND BENIN 994
