LEAGUE CHAMPS - The Packers were the League Champions in the Zurich Ladies Bowling League
in the season just concluded, and were presented with their trophies at the annual dinner and

As Victoria Day approaches,
Consumers' Association of Can-
ada reminds parents that in Sept-
ember 1972, the federal govern-
ment banned firecrackers in an
effort to counter the annual toll
of injuries and fatalities. Sales
will be made only to those hold-
ing a permit of competency and
license to stage firework displays

Oats New at Huronview
Ninety grade seven and eight
students from Huron Centennial
School at Brucefield presented
their spring program, "Show-
boat, " on Monday afternoon.
The show, directed by the mus-
ical director, Mrs. Doris Mc-
Kinley with piano accompan-
iment by Mrs. Mary Moffat,
was thoroughly enjoyed by every
one with a fine display of mus-
ical talent. The Principal of
the school, Mr. Mathers, intr-
oduced the program with the
. appreciation of the residents
extended by Mr. Hugh Walker.
The Clinton Kinette Club
entertained the ladies from
ground floor north and centre on
Tuesday evening at a social get-
together at rhe Clinton Public
School. Members of the Club
provided transportation to the
school and, following an even-
ing of bridge, euchre, and crok-
inole, served lunch to the guests,
From all reports, it was a most
delightful evening.
On Thursday evening "Family
Night" there was another first
for the Home when the Brookside
school at Dungannon entertained
the residents with a minstrel
show. This show had been pres-
ented at the school in April
and was complete with an Inter -
locator, end men, jokes and
fine singing and acting from the
entire group of forty students.
Members of the teaching formed
the orchestra with Louise Wilson,
Art Finlayson, Don Cameron,
Ted Pritchard, Colin Cameron,
and Rick Orr, taking part.
