MEN'S CLUB
The Dashwood Men's Club
held their dinner meeting Friday
April 27, with their wives as
guests. Following a turkey sup-
per, Jason Roberts of CFPL radio
spoke on his work as a disc jock-
ey. Later the Bluewater Playboy
provided music for dancing.
L.W.M.L. MEETING
The quarterly Lutheran Wom-
en's Missionary League meeting
of Zion Lutheran Church was
held Wednesday, April 25 with
Mrs. Delmar Miller taking the
topic "Organized for Outreach."
The ladies are chartering a bus
for the Spring Rally at Stratford,
May 7. A donation was made to
Medical Missions from the Tup-
perware party. The League is
asking for clean used clothing.
Mrs. Frieda Keller is a patien'
in South Huron Hospital, Exeter,
Weekend visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. Alphonse Grenier were
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brown and
son, Egmondville; Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Rader, Kitchener; Miss
Catherine Grenier, Burlington;

Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Keller
celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary Saturday, April 2 8,
with a dinner for their family
and brothers and sisters at Dash-
wood Community Centre and
an open reception for relatives
and friends in the evening.
They were so happy to have all
their children attend.
REPORT
On Monday at 10;30 p.m.
a car driven by Gary Leger,
Huron Park, skidded out of
control on Huron County Road
#21 and collided with a fence
owned by William Elliot, Cent-
ralia. Total damage was listed
at $850. by Constable Frank
Giffin.
A truck driven by Garnet
Leslie, London, proved to be
too heavy for the old bridge on
Stephen Township sideroad
15-16 at the Aux Sable river.
The bridge collapsed under the
strain as the truck was crossing.
The accident occurred at 12;30
p.m. on Wednesday. The inv-
estigating officer was Constable
Ed Wilcox. No estimated of
damage has been made.
A quantity of grass seed val-
ued at $114. was stolen from
the Stephen Township farm of

machinery on the highways.

slow speeds and they can becom
a traffic hazard to an inattent-
ive driver.
Area farmers are reminded
of the regulations concerning
the lengths and widths of farm
vehicles when on a highway.
A vehicle or combination of
vehicles cannot exceed 65 feet
in length. The maximum width
is 102 inches. Over -size permits
