Letter to editor
December 18, 1972,
Zurich Citizens News,
Zurich, Ontario.
Dear Editor;
In last week's issue there was
an article about Sunday sports.
To my knowing, this was never
brought to a vote in Zurich.
No doubt if it would come to a
vote today it would pass.
To my way of thinking, Sun-
day is not kept as a holy day
any more. To me Sunday is
kept as a holiday for all kinds
of amusements.
Some people wonder why our
church services have dropped
off in attendance. You need not
wonder, all we have to do is
look all around us.
I too may be a minority on
this. I too think that Sunday
sports should not be and I intend
to stick by it.
Leonard Merrier.
