Letter to editor
Zurich, Ontario.
December 11,
Zurich. Citizens News
Dear Editor:
I understand that sometime
ago, a by-law was passed auth-
orizing Sunday sports in Zurich.
Do you know when this was
done, and what was the actual
result of the vote?
I believe that there are six
days in the week for sports. I
also have been told that hockey
practices are now held on Sun-
day mornings. This deprives
the boys of the privilege of
attending Sunday School and
church. This should not be
allowed.
As you all know I am inter-
ested in sports, but I also bel-
ieve that the Fourth Command-
ment should be observed as well
as the rest of the command-
ments.
These opinions are my own.
I may be in a minority, but
I believe a minority has a right
to be heard.
Yours sincerely,
Rev, A.M. Amacher,
spent the weekend with her par-
ents and brothers, Mr. and Mrs.
J,B. Sturgeon, Bud and Andrew,
Norman Brown, London, was
at his cottage over the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. George Kalan-
zis, Birmingham, Michigan,
spent the weekend at their
residence in the village prior
to leaving on a holiday trip to
California.
