Light a candle in the window,
Place a wreath outside the
door,
Fill your heart with love and
giving,
Make it Christmas as before.
Another week closer to Christ-
mas and even the weatherman
seems to be doing his best to
put us in the right spirit. Our
decorating has been done and a
large number of Christmas cards
and parcels are beginning to
pour into the Home for the resi-
dents along with treats from the
various organizations in the
area. I know this is all very
much appreciated and does help
to make Christmas a bit more
merry.
The highlight of this week
was the Christmas party for the
residents. On Thursday evening,
most of our residents along with
a large number of visiting fam-
ilies attended the program. Mr.
James Murry, Varna, violinist
assisted by pianist Mrs. Marie
Flynn , Mr. Harold Black play-
ing the guitar and Mr. Gerry
Black on the accordian provided
an evening of old tyme music.
Three little Flynn girls delight-
ed the crowd with their tapping.
Many requests were played, all
adding to the delight of the
party. Santa Claus visited, to
the enjoyment of all present and
delivered gifts on behalf of the
Ladies Auxiliary of the Horne.
Refreshments were served througl
out the evening.
On Tuesday evening, films
were shown. Perhaps you and
your children would enjoy the
Christmas films we willbe show-
ing on Thursday, December 21,

The only business discussed
was the fact that our meetings
during January and February
will be cancelled as usual due
to the inclement weather usual].)
present at these times. The
next meeting of the Association
will be held on Wednesday,
March 7, 1973 in Goderich.
