HomeMy WebLinkAboutZurich Citizens News, 1972-12-14, Page 5THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14, 1972 OBITUARIES EDWARD JOHN DATARS A highly respected resident of Zurich for most of his life, Edward John Datars passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, December 10, in his 72nd year. He was born in Hay Township on April 18, 1901, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Datars. He married the former Iva Kalbfleisch on August 31, 192 7. For many years Mr. Datars operated a shoe store in the village, and following that he was a partner in the former Datars and O'Brien Hardware business. He was a devoted mem• ber of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Surviving besides his wife is one daughter, Mrs. Don (Anita) Taylor, of London; two sisters, Mrs. Victoria Dedels, Toronto, and Miss Anna Datars, of Zur- ich. There are also two grand- children. Another brother, Rev. Albert Datars, passed away sud- denly about one year ago. The body rested at the West- lake funeral home, Zurich, until Wednesday afternoon, Dec- ember 13, when removal was made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where a public service was held at 2.30 p.m. Inter- ment was made in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Goshen Line, Rev. A.C. Blackwell officiated. 0 MRS. MAXIME DENOMME Mrs. Maxime Denomme, the former Rose Durand, passed away at Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, on Thursday, December 7, in her 95th year. She was born on September 27, 187 8, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Durand. Her husband passed away some years ago. Surviving are four sons, Edward Denomme, Zurich, Theophile, of Detroit, Richard, of Detroit, and Louis, of Zur- ich; five daughters, Mrs. Alex (Lillie) Aubin, Seaforth, Mrs. Adella Regier, Zurich, Mrs. Victor (Marie) Huyghbaert, Safety deposit boxes from $5!
