Norrish, swine specialist with the Ontario Ministry of Agric- ulture and Food. The common kind of mange found in Canadian pigs is caus- ed by a mite that burrows in under the skin. The burrowing action irritates the pig, and an infected animal will rub against anythi}tg to get relief. Heavily infected pigs can severely damage pea partitions by rubbing and scratching. The pig's skin will become red and scaly. In severe cases, the skin becomes crusty and will sometimes crack and bleed. Infection occurs on the legs, in the ears and along the sides and back of the animal. Most conventional herds will have some degree of infection. Mild infections are not too much to worry about, says Mr. Norrish, EPO On Sunday at 6.30 p. m. a car driven by John Webster, Exeter, skidded out of control on High- way 83 west of Exeter, The car struck a tree. Three thefts are being invest - Cooking and entertaining take time, but you can prepare for the busy Christmas season now, say food specialists at the Ontario Food Council, Ministry of Agriculture and Food. They suggest making and freezing pastry ahead of time, ready to use when you need it. There are two ways to do this: blend the pastry and shape into balls or roll out dough and place in pie plate, then store in freezer. Make the balls of dough the size you will require, wrap individually in plastic film, put in a plastic bag, label and date. When ready to use, take the number of pastry balls required from the freezer, thaw, then roll, shape and bake, If you prefer, roll and shape the pastry immediately after blending. ladies' men's garments garments Suedes and feathers Fur trims -all lengths All season coats with zip -in linings For sports wear Jean jackets Pant suitc Mohair Th rows 45ft by 901!
