There was a polling booth in the Home and we found there was a surprising number of people grossly inter- ested in the affairs and manage- ment of the municipality. A few of the candidates for the election called on the residents prior to Monday's voting, and after the counting of the ballots, the results showed that it did pay off for those candidates to make themselves known to the interested voters, Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Mr, Amos Gingerich has been busy putting up the outside lights and decor- ating the interior. I notice Christmas cards are beginning to appear in the mail earlier than past years. Last evening we were pleased to have the girl guides and their leaders from Grand Bend who brought in a Christmas tree for the enjoyment of the people in the hospital wing. While some of the guides decorated the tree, the others sat in a circle and sang carols to the accompani- ment of an accordian. They had a good audience and I know their efforts were very much appreciated by the resi- dents. Last Tuesday evening films were shown and we appreciated the assistance of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Gingerich and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Gingerich in operat- ing the film projector and serv- ing the refreshments in the absence of Mr. Risi. On Thursday evening, we all enjoyed the program presented by Mrs. Orval Storey and her group of young people, Mrs. William Henderson and her family of daughters, also Mr. Nelson Howe who supplied violin music for the evening . The program consisted of a variety of dance numbers and vocal numbers by the Henderson sisters. The sympathy of the residents Friday, December 1, at 2 p, m, with burial in Bayfield Cemet- ery. Rev.
