Dear Friends, With the passing of the years, many changes take place in communities --old landmarks pass away, but many nostalgic memories remain. Such are my thoughts at this Thanksgiving Season, as I mentally review "Portraits of the Past" and re- call the pleasant enjoyment and sincere friendship always found around the jewellery shop, owned by Mr. Fred Hess and my late husband, George. Many Hensell residents rem- inisce about the certain wel- come that always awaited them at the jewellery store, where friendly dependable service complimented their word of honour. Changes that accomp- any the passing years bring memories, heartaches and sad- ness for the bygone scenes which we loved, but Faith and Friendship give us strength to go forward hoping that it is to noble hands we throw the 'Torch' to carry on. May Hensall's future days be blessed by a continuance of the gracious service heralded by our loyal forefathers. Sincerely, Mrs. Alma Hess. 0 This year marks the 27th an- niversary of Canada Savings Bonds - C. S.B. Campaigns having commenced in 1946.
