A letter received from the Solicitor General asked the reeve to declare the week of October 8 to 14 as Fixe Prevent- ion Week. Huron County Health Unit, Goderich, sent a letter regard- ing the standardization for the installation for sewage removal and also stated properties must be approved by the unit. An invitation was received to attend the 79th annual Good Roads Convention to be held in Toronto, February 25 to 28 inclusive. Correspondence received from Bill Hanly, Children's Aid Society, officially proclaiming October 15 to 21 as Children's Aid Society Week. Council was informed that the clerk, Gordon Graham, will not be in his office, Friday, October 6, as he will be attend- ing a clerk -treasurer's meeting in Goderich. Council has sent in to the Ministry of Inter -governmental Affairs, a plan of the river; asking the Ministry to put on this plan, any licences of occup- ation or water lots which have been granted over the years so that these can be included in the Villages' request for a Beach Management Agreement. The clerk informed council that building permits totalling $203, 800. have been issued to date for 1972. Councillor Gozzard informed the meeting that he had been given a lifering box which he intends to erect on the corner of his building on the north side of the river. Council passed a resolution approving the installation of a communal water system for the McFadded Development, bound- ed by Elizabeth and William Streets. The next council meeting is set for October 16, 7.30 p.m. 0 Hensall Kinettes make plans for rummage sale The Hensall Kinettes met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Belva Fuss. The date set for the fall rummage sale is November 3. A letter was received from the child overseas that the club sponsor, and a Christmas gift is being sent to her. The Kin- ettes will be contributing to a bake table at a Bazaar in Lond- on in November, to help raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis, and will also be selling Cystic Fib- rosis Christmas cards.
